An obituary has come to our family.
1. Professor at the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Brawijaya University (FKIP UB) who is also the Vice Rector for Student Affairs for the 2015-2019 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. Arief Prajitno, M.S., passed away on Sunday (03/03/2024) due to illness.
2. Dr. Ir. Arning Wilujeng Ekawati, M.S. Lecturer at the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Brawijaya University (FPIK UB) who is also the Vice Dean for General Affairs, Finance and Resources for the 2015-2019 period, passed away on Tuesday (10/24/2023), After battling illness at Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang.

Life is the greatest give that God has given us. But Death is a bridge to the eternal life with God. A good person will grant the best place in Heaven.

Lokakarya 2022 has successfully carried for two days starting November 28, 2022, at Senyum World Hotel, Batu, East Java. The event was attended by Aquaculture representatives from all over the country.

The event starts with a sharing session over MBKM implementation. Followed by a plenary session on the General Chairman and Secretary of Asosiasi Program Studi Akuakultur Indonesia (APSAINDO). The chosen general chairman is Wahyu Endra Kusuma, S.Pi., MP., DSc., (Brawijaya University) and the general secretary is Ir. Suzanne L. Undap, M.Si., Ph.D (University of Sam Ratulangi). The event concluded with MBKM Based Curriculum Workshop.

Lokakarya expected to become an annual event, with each year is to update information regarding developments in the aquaculture sector.

The Study Program of Aquaculture (SPA) will initiate the strengthening of Indonesia's SPA network by inviting all Heads of Aquaculture/SPA throughout Indonesia to a workshop that will be held in Malang, East Java.

Date: 28-30 November 2022

This activity discusses the advantages and characteristics of each Aquaculture/SPA, then summarized and listed to open up the possibility of collaboration between Aquaculture/SPA throughout Indonesia. After each strength and characteristic are listed, then collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service can be carried out more easily. Initiation of this activity will become an annual event, which each year is to update information regarding developments in the aquaculture sector.

On Friday, November 11, 2022, 5th semester students of the Study Program of Aquaculture (SPA) held a practicum in Environmental Management of Aquaculture/Manajemen Tata Lingkungan Budidaya (Metaling) and Fish Health Management/Manajemen Kesehatan Ikan (MKI) in Balai Pengembangan Teknologi Perikanan Budidaya (BPTPB), Cangkringan, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

This activity was accompanied by Prof. Arief Prajitno, Ir. Ellana Sanoesi and Budianto, M.Sc as lecturers for the course.

As one of the series of PKKM MBKM activities in 2022, the Aquaculture Study Program sends 5 of its best lecturers to carry out tri-dharma activities at partner campuses. In this activity, the Aquaculture of Brawijaya University cooperates with the Aquaculture of Jenderal Soedirman University.

The activities of PS BP FPIK UB lecturers teaching on the Jenderal Soedirman University University campus are carried out by three lecturers, namely Dr. Maheno Sri Widodo and Dr. Agoes Soeprijanto. The subjects given in this activity are Fishery Hatchery Technology, Genetics, and Fish Breeding.

As one of the series of PKKM MBKM activities in 2022, the Aquaculture Study Program sends 5 of its best lecturers to carry out tri-dharma activities at partner campuses. In this activity, the Aquaculture of Brawijaya University cooperates with the Aquaculture of Airlangga University.

The activities of the Aquaculture of Brawijaya University lecturers teaching on the Airlangga University campus are carried out by two lecturers, namely Dr. Arning Wilujeng Ekawati, and Dr. Abd. Rahem Faqih. The subjects taught are fish nutrition, genetics, and fish breeding.
