Some weeks fill your notebook. 📖 Others change the way you see the world 🌿

Week 3 was one of those weeks✨

From exploring Bali’s diverse ecosystems, to meeting the people and communities putting sustainability into practice, every field experience invited our students to observe a little closer, ask better questions, and discover how people and nature are deeply connected.

It’s one thing to learn about these ideas. It’s another to stand in the places where they happen every day. It reminded us of something simple yet powerful: we are not separate from nature, we are part of it 🌏🌊
And if nature is our home, then caring for it becomes a responsibility we all share. 🤍

Halfway through the program, and the learning journey is just getting started! ✨

Week 2 brought our students a little bit of everything, from discovering the importance of mangrove ecosystems 🌱, stepping into Bali’s rich cultural heritage at the Samsara Living Museum 🏡, learning about Indonesian currency and everyday money matters in Bahasa Indonesia class 💵🇮🇩, catching some waves during an early morning surf session 🏄‍♀️🌊, to returning to the beautiful Pemuteran Village for an unforgettable adventure of scuba diving and hiking 🤿🥾🌴.

Because sometimes the best lessons come from getting out there, exploring, and experiencing things for yourself. 💙✨

Visiting the museum was like taking a step back in time, discovering how Balinese people lived, created, and preserved their traditions in their own unique way. Every artifact and every story gave our students a deeper understanding of the culture that makes Bali so special.

The sanctuary protects existing trees, wildlife habitats, and sacred temples that have long been part of the local community. Rather than changing the landscape, facilities are built to adapt to it. 🌿
