Binoculars don’t actually make things appear closer, they make distant objects look bigger and clearer by bringing the image to both of your eyes at the same time!
And that’s exactly why they’re so useful for birdwatching.
A tiny bird hiding high in the trees suddenly becomes much easier to spot!
So… how many birds can you find?

Monday classroom, but make it a mangrove forest. 🛶🌱

Paddling through the mangroves with our students, getting a little closer to the roots, the water, and the life growing around us. Because learning about an ecosystem is one thing, but being right in the middle of it is something else entirely.

One paddle at a time, we’re learning that nature has a story, and the best way to hear it is to get close. 💚

writing on lontar isn’t just about the words, it’s a craft that requires patience, skill, and a very steady hand. ✍️

Written using Aksara Bali, this traditional script has helped preserve Balinese culture and wisdom for generations.

Two days, one night, and a whole lot of Pemuteran magic! 💙
Our Sustainable Development & Ecotourism students travelled to Pemuteran to discover how marine conservation can go hand in hand with community life. From learning about coral reef restoration through the BioRock method to seeing how a healthy marine environment can support local livelihoods, they got to experience conservation beyond the classroom. 🪸🌱
The experience continued on land, with a traditional Megibung meal and an early-morning sunrise hike at Bukit Kursi. 🌅🥾

When you share what you’ve seen, experienced, and learned, you’re not just telling a story, you’re giving yourself a chance to remember it, reflect on it, and appreciate it a little more.
Our Sustainable Development & Ecotourism Program visited Samsara Living Museum to watch, learn, and experience the stories of Bali. And to wrap up the visit, Cleo shared her own reflections on the experience. 🌺
From culture and traditions to the stories behind the different stages of life, Samsara gave us plenty to take home and sometimes, the best way to keep those lessons alive is simply to tell the story. 📖✨

Ever wondered where that delicious cup of coffee actually begins?

During our Sustainability & Ecotourism field experience, we discovered the traditional way of roasting coffee beans over the fire. 🔥 The process creates a beautiful smoky aroma and brings out deeper flavours in the beans.

From bean to cup, we got to experience the journey firsthand and honestly, coffee tastes even better when you know its story!
