Have you ever...? = Kamu sudah pernah....?
When answering this question, no need to use “ever” in your answer. Just say “yes, i have...” Or “no, i haven’t.”
Ketika mejawan petanyaan ini, tidak usah bilang “ever” dalam jawabannya. Bilang “yes, i have” atau “no, i haven’t.”
Example:
Right: i have eaten rujak.

Wrong: I have ever eaten rujak.

Saya bikin film sama murid2 saya tentang sonnet #78 oleh William Shakespeare:

So oft have I invok'd thee for my Muse,
Kerap kali ku memandangmu untuk peroleh inspirasi,

And found such fair assistance in my verse,
Dan aku banyak terbantu dalam menunaikan tugas2ku,

As every alien pen hath got my use,
Begitupun mereka yg mentukai karyaku,

And under thee their poesy disperse.
Inspirasimu telah hadir menyentuh banyak orang.

Thine eyes, that taught the dumb on high to sing,
Matamu telah mengajarkan mereka yg tak mampu berkata2 untuk bernyanyi,

And heavy ignorance aloft to fly,
Dan mengajarkan mereka yg bodoh untuk bisa terbang tinggi,

Have added feathers to the learned's wing,
Engkau telah menambahkan bulu pada sayap murid2 mu,

And given grace a double majesty.
Dan menjadikan kecerdasan tampak lebih mengagumkan.

Yet be most proud of that which I compile,
Namun engkau pasti lebih bangga dg apa yg tlh aku kerjakan

Whose influence is thine and born of thee:
Karena karyaku terpengaruh dan terinspirasi oleh mu.

In others' works thou dost but mend the style,
Ketika engkau merubah gaya karyamu engkaupun merubah gayaku,

And arts with thy sweet graces graced be;
Dan semua artis bekerja dengan inspirasi dari mu;

But thou art all my art and dost advance
Tapi engkau adalah karyaku, dan bisa semakin bertambah baik

As high as learning my rude ignorance.
Sebesar usahaku dalam belajar untuk mengisi kekurangan ilmu.
