Lycée Français de Jakarta Welcome to the Lycee Français of Jakarta, newly renamed LIFE SCHOOL. Thanks to a bilingual French a Welcome to the French School of Jakarta!

With 400 students representing over 30 nationalities, the LFJ (Lycée Français de Jakarta) will enable your children to excel in a strong academic environment, in a school that is also family-friendly and inviting to make them feel comfortable. The French national curriculum is provided under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced teachers. We put a focus on foreign languages to help students grow into global citizens by developing their knowledge, skills and creativity. The French School is accredited by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) with 522 schools in 139 countries. The LFJ is proud to be a part of a large cooperative network which promotes the French language, a language of freedom and culture, while opening ourselves up to the culture of our host country and international languages. We offer our students an ambitious curriculum and quality teaching, from preschool through high school, and prepare your children for the European section Baccalaureate (equivalent to the British A-levels UK, or US High-School diploma). The excellent results on Cambridge exams prove the exceptional quality of our foreign-language programs. To accommodate non-French speaking families wishing to join our school, we provide language integration classes for children from ages 6 to 10 years old. Also LFJ offers an American International Section starting at age 6. The American International Section is taught exclusively by native English-speaking teachers with diplomas from North America. Being at the crossroads of French and American teaching methods, it constitutes a true space of exchange and interculturality. The program creates a distinct advantage in a student's academic career, offering the long-term possibility to access the International option of the Baccalaureate and thus opening the doors to both a French and English higher education. To support the broader wellbeing of our students, the school serves nutritious and freshly cooked French, Indonesian, Asian and European dishes in our modern cafeteria. We also offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, giving our students the broadest range of experiences possible during their time in Jakarta.

🇫🇷👩🏻‍⚕️ Les élèves de Grande Section ont été soumis à un bilan de santé, ce vendredi 17 mai 2024. Au programme, évaluation des problèmes éventuels visuels, auditifs, de langages, etc. Nous remercions Rena, notre infirmière, ainsi que l’équipe médicale de notre partenaire l’hôpital JWCC pour leur collaboration.

🇬🇧👩🏻‍⚕️ K2 students underwent a health check on Friday 17 May 2024. The program included an assessment of any eventual visual, hearing or language problems. We would like to express our gratitude to Rena, our nurse, and our medical team partner, the JWCC hospital for their kind collaboration.

🇫🇷 🔍🤔 Les élèves de CM1/CM2 B et de CM2 A ont suivi un atelier sur les “Deep fake” (vidéos modifiées par l’intelligence artificielle, parfois utilisées comme outils de désinformation) avec la participation de Yohann Relat, journaliste. L’idée est que, pour apprivoiser l’IA, il faut d’abord en comprendre le fonctionnement et les risques. Grâce à des outils d’intelligence artificielle, les élèves ont pû créer eux-mêmes un deep fake, ce qui leur a permis d’en comprendre le fonctionnement. Faire dire ce qu’ils veulent à leur enseignant.e ou encore à Kylian Mbappe, un vrai jeu d’enfant !

🇬🇧🔍🤔 Grade 4 and 5 students attended a workshop on "Deep fakes" (videos modified by artificial intelligence (AI), sometimes used as disinformation tools) with the participation of journalist Yohann Relat. The idea is that we first need to understand how AI works and the risks involved. Using artificial intelligence tools, the students were able to create their own deep fake, enabling them to understand how it works, and how to get their teacher or Kylian Mbappe to say what they want!

🇫🇷 🎒📚Les classes de maternelle ont travaillé pendant plusieurs semaines autour des 7 mêmes albums (5 en français et 2 en anglais). Le Loup est le personnage central de ces ouvrages.

Le rallye lecture s'est terminé jeudi 22 février par une matinée de jeux pour tous les enfants de la maternelle de la Petite à la Grande Section. Des parents ont encadré les ateliers, tous en lien avec les albums étudiés. Ce moment convivial était aussi l'occasion d'exposer les arts visuels réalisés en classe. 🎨🖼️😍

🇬🇧🎒📚 The kindergarten classes worked for several weeks around the same 7 albums (5 in French and 2 in English). The Wolf is the central character of these works.

The reading rally ended Thursday, February 22th with a morning of games for all the children in kindergarten from the Petite to the Grande Section. Parents supervised the workshops, all linked to the albums studied. This friendly moment was also an opportunity to exhibit the visual arts created in class. 🎨🖼️😍

🇫🇷📚💭 Un grand merci à tous, parents, professeurs pour votre participation et votre bonne humeur qui ont fait de La Nuit de la Lecture un temps fort, valorisant le livre et le plaisir de lire.
Un grand merci aux élèves qui sont venus nombreux et qui se sont impliqués dans chaque activité.

Bravo aux élèves de Cm1 et Cm2 pour l’enregistrement audio des albums, l’heure du conte, ou encore la lecture animée des poèmes sportifs. Bravo aux élèves de 6ème pour leur performance théâtrale, aux Secondes pour leur performance Yoga & paroles.

Cet événement culturel a permis aux élèves de la maternelle au lycée et à leurs parents de profiter de nombreuses animations et ateliers autour de la lecture et des livres : il y en avait pour tous les goûts et tous les âges !
Vive la lecture pour s’évader, rêver, imaginer, partager, mais aussi s’amuser !

Many thanks to the numerous students who got involved in every activity.

Well done to the Cm1 and Cm2 students for the audio recording of the albums, the story time, the animated reading of sports poems. Well done to the 6ème students for their theater performance, and to the grade 10 students for their Yoga & paroles performance.

This cultural event enabled students from kindergarten to high school and their parents to enjoy a wide range of activities and workshops revolving around reading and books: there were activities for all tastes and all ages!

Long live reading to escape, dream, imagine, share and have fun!

🇫🇷 LIFE School Jakarta a eu le plaisir de recevoir, ce jeudi 25 janvier 2024, la visite d'une délégation du département des affaires scolaires de Jakarta Selatan 1 - Ministère de l'Education indonésien, composée de 4 inspecteurs (de la maternelle au lycée) et dirigée par Bapak Sarwoko (M. Pd). Nous espérons que cet échange prometteur donnera suite à de futures collaborations pédagogiques, culturelles et sportives avec les établissements locaux de la région. 🇫🇷🤝🇮🇩
