Tips for Applicants

We will explore about tips for applicants who strive to gain scholarship.
Well, in your head you may think that scholarship is just for the bright students. It may be right, but not exactly like that. I mean, the scholarship is given to the appropriate student who can meet the scholarship requirements and has a valuable from his/her capability to get it. So, everyone is eligible as long as s/he works harder to fulfill the requirements and be the winner doing the competition.
Jadi, ada beberapa tips yang perlu dipertimbangkan applicant dalam meraih scholarship.

1. Plan with timeline. Artinya applicant enggak bisa doing last minute buat persiapkan semua items yang diminta beasiswa. Jadi timeline harus di create applicant sendiri. Ask yourself, what kind of scholarship you may apply. Butuh waktu more than 6 months dan yang tepat adalah 1 year prior to the opening of scholarship.

2. Compile the valuable documents. Academic documents such as certificate and transcript academic, personal letter, letters of recommendation, international test English result, Curriculum Vitae, etc, yang terlihat biasa2 saja menjadi teramat penting begitu beasiswa yang diminati memintanya. Not easy but you must be aware, discipline and tidy for fulfilling everything the prerequisite of scholarship. The hardest one is to get letters of recommendation and your personal letter. The admission office as well as the scholarship committee will assess them thoroughly.

3. Practice, practice and practice with interview test. You can watch from the you tube or other videos from the persons who have passed the interview test. They are very kind to give you more tips and tricks. You may also attend the certain meeting with the scholarship committee whom always give presentation for passing the scholarship. Interview test umumnya diberikan pada candidates yang sudah terpilih secara administratif. Interview test sangat menentukan dapat atau gagalnya candidates memperoleh beasiswa.

4. Provide plan B or C if you can not pass your plan A. Artinya, applicant harus punya back up plan, jangan terlalu emosional untuk membuang time and energy untuk satu hal saja. Ingat beasiswa yang ditawarkan begitu banyak dan beragam, jadi pastikan kamu memiliki other plans untuk mencapai impianmu. Misalnya jika kamu belum berhasil memperoleh beasiswa LPDP, ada beasiswa lainnya yang bisa kamu lamar seperti Fulbright, Australian Awards, StuNed dll.

So, you must be smarter to apply any scholarships which are related with your need. Never give up. Strive your smart efforts.

🌍 New DAAD Scholarship Programme: GROW – Global Research Opportunities for the South

With GROW – Global Research Opportunities for the South, the DAAD supports researchers, academics and university lecturers from Latin America, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa in building strong, sustainable research partnerships with Germany. The programme funds short-term research stays in Germany, as well as preparatory and cooperation visits, all with a clear focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and concrete development impact.

A core principle of GROW is what comes after the stay: Fellows return to their home institutions and bring back new knowledge, methods and networks, strengthening research, teaching and knowledge transfer where it matters most.

🎓 Open to early-career and experienced researchers, academics and university lecturers at higher education and research institutions. Women and individuals from disadvantaged regions or groups are especially encouraged to apply.

For German universities, GROW offers an excellent opportunity to initiate or strengthen SDG-oriented international research cooperation.
