Ladies, MUST READ!
Research has shown that women’s ability to promote bone growth and maintenance is lower than of men.
And then, after , it becomes even more apparent.
Therefore, in order to help mitigate this, women are encouraged to perform more strength exercises.

Does this mean women have to lift ?
Well.. yes and no..
A barbell is just a tool to add the intensity of a exercise (load).
There is still a wide range of exercises that focus on strength, and improve bone integrity without using them scary barbells.

These are staple movements that we do a regular basis.
And only when we see fit, then we add the intensity by introducing objects as external weights.

Sundays are Days!
What does this even mean?

It means, it’s time to let our bodies recover,both physically and mentally.
How do we do this?

Two quick examples:
1. Do some light workouts, or possibly even a new sport. Try Yoga, Zumba, swimming, running, some golf. Just keep moving, we want to keep the momentum going. USE YOUR FITNESS!
2. Catch up on your relationships. Have some coffee with an old friend, chill with new friends, spend time with the family, catch a movie. Wind down and do things that is most natural to us, social beings, socialize! Help someone out, donate to a charity. !

This is why we’ve always not have a Sunday class.
Because our coaches/staff are humans too, we want them to also fully recover, so they can bring their best again the following week.
This is how we ensure that everyone gets the most out of their experience in the box, by emphasizing recovery outside the box.

What can we do to prevent ourselves from Alzheimer's?

In this enlightening TED Talk, Lisa Genova suggests that by regularly learning new things (language, arts&craft, sports, etc), we are creating more elements in our brain that strengthen it and hence reduce the chances of Alzheimer's.

Well, this is exactly what we do at , we learn new things about our bodies every single day.
Our brains and nervous system are challenged and pleasantly forced to adjust and adapt to new movements, and perfect the familiar ones too.
It's never just about lifting weights, it's deeper than that, and this is why we love it so much.
