Event of the year is an annual event, as implemented in the AMSA-Indonesia guidelines, carrying social services to the community with the intention of enhancing awareness regarding health and positive lifestyle.

This year, we use the theme GERMAS; which stands for Gerakan Masyarakat Sehat, with the motto “Dare to be healthy!”. AMSA-UI encouraged physical health, a balanced diet, and the significance of routine health checks to participating individuals.

The event held by AMSA-UI consists of Mini Health Trivia, Trading Paint to Fruit, and Door-to-door education.

[PRICE AMSC 2018]

PRICE AMSC (Preparation for International Competition, Asian Medical Students Conference) 2018 is a training held by the Academics Division of AMSA Universitas Indonesia on Monday, 12th March 2018 to prepare contestants for AMSC 2018 which will be held in Malaysia on July 2018. The training included two seminars with a Q&A session each. The first seminar was about “Infection Control” by Dr.dr. Yeva Rosana, MS, SpMK(K) from Department of Microbiology, Universitas Indonesia. The second seminar was about “How to Analyze Data in Meta Analysis” by dr. Vito Filbert Jayalie. PRICE AMSC 2018 was held in KB-203 room in Gedung Rumpun Ilmu Kesehatan, Universitas Indonesia, Depok. There were around 30 participants in PRICE AMSC 2018. The participants were mainly medical students and AMSA members, who come from various universities, such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Trisakti (Usakti), Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI), and Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (Ukrida).

On the 25th of October, AMSA-UI invited dr. Radhian Amandito to provide his insights on systematic reviews. Dr. Radhian gave a comprehensive lecture on systematic review, which was followed by an interactive session to the members. Through the workshop, the members could implement the taught lesson by building their own concept with their peers. The members gained not only valuable knowledge but also teamwork and critical thinking through the workshops and the seminar.

On Thursday, October 19th 2017, Membership and Development (MnD) has delivered one of its program, E-Club (English Club) Member 2017. With the name TIBET (Traditional Heritage Beyond The Books), this year, E-Club Member brought Acupuncture as its theme. We invited dr. Irma Nareswari, SpAk and her colleagues as our speakers for the event. First, she explained to us about acupuncture briefly. The lecture was so interactive as many of our members were very enthusiastic. Then, all of us tried to do a pressure acupuncture which can be applied to our daily lives, and finally the doctor itself do acupuncture to each of us! With this, we hope AMSA-UI members can apply their knowledge well after joining this event.
