University of Koblenz-Landau
APPLICATION
All applications (bachelor's and master's programs) of international students who acquired their university entrance level certifications or academic degrees abroad are pre-checked by UNI-ASSIST. Uni-assist stands for "University Application Services for International Students". On behalf of the University of Koblenz-Landau, Uni-assist reviews whether your application meets the formal requirements and informs you about the result. Uni-assist charges a registration fee (currently 75€) for examining your documents.
When you have decided to apply for a program offered at the University of Koblenz-Landau, please follow the steps as described below:
1. Register on the Uni-assist online portal for applicants!
2. Please transfer the fee charged by Uni-assist to their account. Information on payment and bank account details can be found here. Please note: Uni-assist will not process your file before you have paid the registration fee!
3. Create your application form and submit it to Uni-assist electronically.
4. Print the application form, sign it and send it (by mail/postal service) to Uni-assist with all required documents. (Uni-assist requires a paper version of your application!)
Required documents for programs taught in German:
Completed, printed and signed online-application form from Uni-assist online portal for applicants
[Exception: In case you cannot use the Uni-assist online portal for applicants, please send the completed, printed and signed application form ("Antrag auf Zulassung").]
Officially certified copy of the secondary-school leaving certificate and, if available, a university entrance exam
Officially certified copy of the certificate of your academic degree and academic transcripts regarding previous studies at a university
Certificate of sufficient knowledge of German: Deutschprüfung TestDaF – Level 4 (or equivalent) – Here you can find more details information regarding German language exams
Proof of payment or transfer of Uni-assist fee
Copy of your passport (the page showing name and photograph)
In addition: Applicants from China, Mongolia, Vietnam : APS certificate
Required documents for programs taught in English (M.Sc. Ecotoxicology, M.Sc. Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems, M.Sc. Web Science):
Completed, printed and signed online-application form from Uni-assist online portal for applicants
Officially certified copy of the secondary-school leaving certificate and, if available, a university entrance exam
Officially certified copy of the certificate of your academic degree and academic transcripts regarding previous studies at a university
Officially certified copy of proof of sufficient knowledge of English (the language requirements depend on the specific master's program and may vary)
Proof of payment or transfer of Uni-assist fee
Copy of your passport (the page showing name and photograph)
In addition: Applicants from China, Mongolia, Vietnam : APS certificate
Everybody who applies through Uni-assist (no matter if the program is taught in English or German), needs to send these documents (the paper version) via postal service in addition to the online form.

5. The University of Koblenz-Landau and you will be informed by Uni-assist if you meet the formal requirements to take up a master's program in Koblenz/Landau.
6. The university will check if the requirements for the specific study program are met. If you are admitted to the study program, we will provide you with information regarding the further steps.
Application Deadlines
15th July for the winter semester
15th January for the summer semester.
Exceptions:
Application for the degree programs Informatik, Computervisualistik, Informationsmanagement, Wirtschaftsinformatik, E-Government, Web Science is possible until 30th September (for the winter semester) and 31st March (for the summer semester).
Application for the Master's Program Psychology (for the winter semester) is only possible until 15th May.
Please note: Only the “date of receipt” of the application of admission at Uni-assist is decisive (not the postmark); applications via fax or e-mail are not accepted. Applications that are received by mail after the deadline will be rejected due to exceeding the deadline.
Recommendation!
Due to the long mailing times and visa application processes, we strongly advice international applicants in their own interest to apply for the program as early as possible! Every year we receive emails from students who could not arrive in time due to the long visa processing. Therefore, please start the application process as early as possible if you need a visa for Germany
