Hello Public Speakers 🗣️

On September 26, 1960, Fidel Castro made a speech that lasted 4 and a half hours or more specifically 4 hours 29 minutes at the United Nations🇺🇳

Fidel Castro himself was the prime minister of Cuba who fought for the Cuban revolution. Castro is a controversial figure. His supporters view him as a hero of socialism and anti-imperialism who successfully fought for economic and social justice and defended Cuba's independence from American imperialism 🇨🇺🫡

Hello Public Speakers 🗣️

There are several types of audiences when listening to other people speak:

The Serious one🧐: they are the type who listens carefully to understand what is being said or they are just trying not to fall asleep

The Sleepy one🥱: this type exists if the person is lack of sleep or what the speaker are talking about sounds boring

The Critical one🧐🤓: this type is someone who is active in class, if there is something they don't understand then they will immediately ask, or maybe they are just looking for academic validation

The Confused one😵‍💫: well, on this one he has tried hard to understand but is still confused

Which type of audience are you?🤔

Hello Public Speakers 🗣️

Have you ever thought that communication is only about how we convey something to other people?🤔

In fact, effective communication is when the speaker can listen, understand, and respond to other people's perspectives.

"Communication is not about speaking what we think, communication is about ensuring others hear what we mean."
- Simon Sinek

Hello Public Speakers 🗣️

Interviews are a nervous time for everyone😵‍💫. How we perform during the interview will determine whether we will be accepted or not. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves.

1. Dress appropriately, look neat and make yourself confident👩‍💼👔

2. Prepare early & don”t stay up late, so that you don't rush and make yourself careless⌚

3. Find out about the company/organization & about your job, so you will have an overview of the job and find out the reason why you are applying for that position.

4. Answer questions honestly and confidently, To show confidence, make sure you show a positive attitude by smiling, maintaining eye contact and speaking with clear intonation and articulation🗣️

Hello Public Speakers🗣️

Most of you who are into K-pop probably already know the person above 👆🏻

Kim Namjoon —better known as RM, is a leader of a famous korean boyband— BTS. Aside from him being famous for his musicality, he also participated in a UN General Assembly and made an important speech that we quoted above.

From those words we can learn that if we learned how to love ourselves, we can also learn how to speak on ourselves.📣
