On 16 April, Technical University of Munich (TUM) visited DAAD Indonesia for a courtesy meeting, represented by Pietro Sala and Prof. Dr. Johannes Sauer from the Chair of Agricultural Production and Resource Economics. The visit forms part of TUM’s ongoing efforts to engage with universities and research institutions across Indonesia and Malaysia to initiate and strengthen research collaborations in the region.

From 5–9 November 2025, Malaysia was represented by Dr. Nik Madihah Nik Azis at the Falling Walls Summit in Berlin. The highlight was on the 6 November, when Dr. Nik competed on the Falling Walls Lab Global Finale among 100 outstanding participants from all over the world.
The DAAD regularly organizes the semi-final competition in Malaysia and selects one winner to attend the Final in Berlin. This year, we proudly sent Dr. Nik Madihah Nik Azis from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Watch her Berlin journey here!
