Haul road in open mine has short durability. It is because haul road is constructed without asphalt/concrete pavement and passed by big vehicle with heavy load. This research focused on grader route and schedule optimization in coal haul road maintenance. Optimization model in this research is designed using Bandit Algorithm. The objective of the optimization model is to minimize the maximum penalty.

We initiated a new SEMS Lab Class for our new Lab Assistant that will teach a combination of soft skills and hard skills of becoming a System Engineer. The class will run for 2 semester, with 14 meetings in each semester. Even though it will not be recorded in their academic transcript, the class still works as a regular class where attendance, assignments and tests will be marked accordingly and put into their certificate of completion.

Transergy is a digital serious simulation game about energy transition as the learning instrument for public education. The development of the game is in accordance with the method of game development by Duke and Geurst (2004). There are four phases to create a game start from setting up the stage for project, clarifying the problem, designing the game, developing the game and the deployment of the game. The first phase has been accommodated by above mentioned paragraph. The second phase is about defining the learning purpose and learning point through game conceptualization and learning model. Transergy game has a concept of simulating the mobilization when using oil as the fuel and then giving the explanation about conversion from oil to natural gas. After the player understand about the conversion, there are some given conditions that will affect the player decision to convert to natural gas. The comparison of expense, carbon emission, health and social indicator before and after the conversion is displayed to give a better comprehension about the advantages of having conversion.

The 2nd Asia-Pacific Region System Dynamics Conference of the System Dynamics Society were held at UTown, National University of Singapore. The theme for this conference is Charting a Path to a Humane and Sustainable Future: Asia’s Leadership Role. The conference brought together various disciplines that have been using Systems Thinking, System Dynamics and Systems Engineering approach in understanding and solving problems. The conference seeks to popularize and extend systems thinking and System Dynamics modelling in the Asia-Pacific Region by facilitating interactions between practitioners from the region and around the world, introducing newcomers to the field, and keeping practitioners aware of current developments.

Indonesia is aware to the carbon dioxide gas emission issue. There are a few technologies that have been used to reduce the emission, such as: using the alternative energy which produce cleaner emission than CO2, using a cleaner technology (in transportation), reducing the use of fossil fuel, etc. Carbon capture and storage technology is still new in Indonesia, and there is no enough information and study on it.
