Happy International Day for Biological Diversity! 🌿
Today, our Master of Public Policy concentration in Climate Change celebrated by joining the “Ekspose of Advancement and Symbol of Commitment on Biodiversity Conservation in Indonesia: Acting Locally for Global Impact” event at UIII.
We had the honor of meeting the Minister of Environment and took part in inspiring remarks, a symbolic exposition of Indonesia’s biodiversity commitments, and tree planting & biopore-making around campus.
May this spark a deeper care for protecting our biodiversity, because every species and every small action matters. Let’s keep acting locally for global impact! 🌏

Today, we held our monthly Internal Faculty Seminar, featuring Dr. Afrimadona, who presented his research on “Authoritarian Nostalgia and the Rise of Prabowo.”
The discussion explored how collective memory, democratic dissatisfaction, and perceptions of strong leadership shape contemporary political preferences in Indonesia. Drawing on nationwide survey data, the study examined how nostalgic views of the New Order era may influence support for militarized leadership and strongman politics within a democratic setting. The seminar also highlighted the role of memory politics, human rights awareness, and democratic evaluation in shaping public attitudes toward the past and present political landscape.
We sincerely thank Dr. Afrimadona for the insightful presentation and engaging discussion. We hope this seminar continues to encourage critical reflection, meaningful dialogue, and impactful academic collaboration within our faculty community.
