Bali Babysitter - Nanny Jun

Back 2021, first time I am being Nanny.

One day her dad asked me something that felt too big for me at the time,
“Jun, can you take my daughter for 3 nights? I have to go to Jakarta.”

I said no. I didn’t think I was ready. I had no experience, no confidence to take care someone else kids, specially 3 day without the parents.

But he smiled and said, “I trust you. I believe in you.”

I still remember that moment.

Now she’s 10, big girl, no longer in Bali, growing up somewhere else.
and I’m here, still carrying those words with me.

Sometimes, the belief someone has in you stays longer than they do.

Left bali for 2 weeks.. don’t worry, I’ll be back soon 😂🌴

"Jun, can we go out for a walk?”
“Of course, go put your shoes on.”
“But I want to be on your shoulder.”
“Hop on, buddy" ❤️

So, not a walk.
More like a full-body workout with a VIP passenger who refuses to walk but still wants the adventure 😂

I was thinking about taking the rest of February off, but I guess that’s just not me. I went back to work and said yes when his mom asked if I could stay the night with him. And honestly, I’m so glad I did.

Story time, small talk before bed, then we both woke up at 5:30 a.m. because of thunder and couldn’t fall back asleep. 😴 So we kept reading and ended up debating which animals are the best at camouflage until the sun came up.

I cooked breakfast for him, then we played Tic Tac Toe, Connect 4, and Beyblade. After that, he had his screen time while I finished my work.

Finally, this nanny gave up. 😂😂

My February schedule wasn’t supposed to end this early, but my body just couldn’t keep up with my plans anymore. I’ve been lying in bed for two days with a running nose and red eyes, what a timing, right?

Still, I’m truly grateful to the family who kindly let me rest and allowed me to send my team instead. It really means so much to me. ❤️❤️

So for everyone enjoying a holiday in Bali, I know the weather not that good but I hope you make lots of beautiful memories and come back home filled with happy moments.

As for me, I’ll be back soon.
For now, I’ll try to enjoy my bed.. 🌸🌸

I ended my schedule this February with a cozy movie night with the girls.

Am I tired? Yes, I am, no denying it.
Two weeks of long hours every single day.
But my heart is full.
Welcoming them in Bali felt like welcoming my own family.
