12. stand up for = melindungi seseorang/sesuatu. Cth: "You need to stand up for your rights!"

11. put up with = sabar menghadapi. Cth: "She puts up with a lot from her husband."

10. put down to = berpikir bahwa sesuatu itu disebabkan oleh faktor sesuatu. Cth: "The failure can be put down to a lack of preparation."

9. look up to = mengagumi atau menghormati. Cth: "She looks up to her father."

Contoh kalimatnya seperti ini: "He really looks down on teachers."

8. look down on = menyepelekan/menganggap remeh orang lain.

7. live up to = bersikap atau melakukan sesuatu seperti yang diharapkan. Cth: "She's living up to her reputation as a hard boss."

Contoh kalimatnya, misalnya: "She went through with the wedding, even though she had doubts."
