We might not be able to plan every lesson around the interests of our learners, but there are some things we can always do to build rapport and create a good relationship with our learners:
- choose our attitude
- use names
- listen attentively
- avoid over-correcting
- stand tall and remember the 3 Vs
Last but not least is to praise our learners. It's extremely important to praise loudly but blame softly.

Every time a story is told in class, by you or by one of your students, the connections between you all grow stronger.

Defining the students

In general English we often define students in terms of level and then put them into classes accordingly. When teaching in businesses, level is important but we also define students in other ways. For example, are they already in work and therefore have lots of experience? Or are they pre-work, so that you might have to teach them about business concepts as well? We can also define and group them according to their job profile; so even though a group of engineers may have different general English levels, it might make sense to put them in the same class in order to work with their specialist area of English. -ETpedia Business English-

We are now living in exciting times with new approaches, new resources and new ways of delivering English to an international world. We should take all the opportunities and benefit from them.

Technology has to be used in a carefully considered manner with the aim of providing students with an easier and more efficient way to be productive with language.

Confidence matters! Take time to really feel what you want. Be confident in your desires. Feel that pride in yourself, that excitement of having accomplished your dream.☺
