Doremi Excellent School (DES) began as Doremi Preschool which was originally opened in Jakarta. Soon after our preschool had established itself we began working toward opening a National Plus school. We opened Doremi Excellent School in 2003 for Primary students until High School. As if 2015 Doremi has taken yet another step forward as it has begun utilising the Cambridge curriculum for years 7-12

Celebrating Indonesia, One Story at a Time at Santosa Intercultural School

During Indonesian Month, our students had the opportunity to look beyond the familiar and discover the remarkable diversity that makes Indonesia truly extraordinary.

Exploring regional traditions and heritage, unique flora and fauna, traditional clothing, and games, our students gained new perspectives on our beloved motherland, Indonesia. To complete the celebration, we held a meaningful flag ceremony, reminding our students of the pride, respect, and courageous struggles of our heroes who fought for our independence.

May this Indonesian Month inspire our students to appreciate where we come from, respect our differences, and carry the richness of our heritage forward.

Starting the Month of Merdeka with Santosa Intercultural School

A new month has arrived at Santosa Intercultural School, bringing fresh stories into our classrooms as we prepare exciting projects for Indonesian Month.
The first week of August unfolded through engaging exchanges, thoughtful lessons, and the familiar rhythm of school life returning with renewed spirit. Between lessons and laughter, students found countless little reasons to wonder, connect, and practice self control throughout their daily lives.

Sometimes, the most meaningful school memories are not found in big occasions, but in ordinary days that quietly become special.

The first month of school is complete. Some moments pass quietly, yet leave a lasting impression.

The final week of July at Santosa Intercultural School unfolded through thoughtful conversations, determined minds, and quiet acts of self control that rarely ask for applause. A question answered with newfound confidence. A small step that meant so much.

The choice to manage negative thoughts. The patience to resist unnecessary haste. A spark of self control that turned an ordinary lesson into an unforgettable one. Schools are built not only by timetables, but also by the small changes that shape children into capable, compassionate adults.

To every parent walking alongside us, thank you for trusting this journey. It isn’t always easy, but we hope you’ll continue to have faith in your children. Together, we are helping shape the stories they need, one meaningful day at a time.

Let’s close this July with Doremi Preschool

If classrooms could tell stories, they would speak of tiny footsteps racing toward a favourite activity, curious eyes discovering new adventures, and laughter echoing long after the games had ended.
Through hands on and engaging activities, our little stars dove deeper into their explorations. These moments were captured in glue covered fingertips, unexpected questions, musical explorations, and the growing confidence of children as they followed rules they had never followed before.

Each day added another page to a story only childhood can write: simple, genuine, and impossible to recreate in exactly the same way. Let’s continue to be their biggest support system and celebrate the moments that made the final week of July truly unforgettable.

Starting a New Routine with Respect and Self Discipline at Santosa Second Week of School

Our second week of school began on a strong note as students adapted to enhanced school routines and enjoyed getting to know their new classmates. They embraced the challenge of practicing self-discipline, had fun through physical activities, and built stronger connections through meaningful teamwork.

Every lesson became an opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, discover new perspectives, and celebrate progress together. Here’s to another week of learning, growing, and thriving!

Magical Second Week of School at Doremi Preschool

This week, our classrooms explored more about each and every one of our students through meaningful activities, stories, and shared experiences. As the children became more comfortable with their daily routines and eagerly participated in group activities, they also discovered new ways to learn about themselves through play and conversation.

Every dance, classroom project, and interaction with new friends helped strengthen their communication skills while nurturing confidence, empathy, and attentiveness. We believe every child is unique and precious, and it has been wonderful to watch each of them settle into the school environment at their own pace.
