Learning about business can start at any age!

Today, the 9th-grade students got the chance to learn directly from the owner of Little Bom Bom Bakery & Coffee. They got to see what it’s really like to build a business, from turning an idea into reality to dealing with challenges and creating a brand that stands out.

The session was full of curiosity and great questions. Many students shared their interest in starting a business of their own, making it a great opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experience.

At the end of the day, building a business isn’t just about following what’s trending. It’s about finding your own identity, having the right mindset, and staying consistent as you grow. It’s never too early to learn, dream, and start creating.

Teachers are more than knowledge providers. They’re role models who keep learning, growing, and leading by example.

The past three days were an amazing journey for our teachers during the SASS Teacher Training Program. Before teaching students, they first need to experience and understand the lessons themselves. From Life Skills and Leadership to Faith and Values, every session brought something new to learn.

Our teachers also joined outbound activities, trekking, solo camp, navigation, and rope techniques, with time for spiritual reflection and self-evaluation. Three days of learning, trying new things, and stepping out of their comfort zones to become better educators for the next generation.

We celebrated our 81st Independence Day by coming together to honor the heroes who fought for our freedom. As the Red and White flag flew proudly, we remembered their courage and the freedom they gave us.

The celebration continued with fun games, lots of laughter, and some friendly competition! Everyone joined in with great energy, teamwork, and big smiles, making the day even more memorable.

As long as we keep dreaming, laughing, and growing together, the spirit of freedom will always live on.

“Are we there yet?”

Empathy and discipline aren’t just learned in class. You gotta live it IRL! Yesterday, our Grade 6 students became mini backpackers, hopping on an angkot to Bogor Station, then catching the KRL to Juanda. And trust us, the adventure was just getting started!

Along the way, they put empathy into action by giving up their seats to elderly passengers and women. After praying at Istiqlal Mosque, they were back on the move, heading to their next stop.

And finally, we made it to Monas! They stepped out of their comfort zones, chatting with locals and foreign tourists while putting teamwork, confidence, and responsibility to the test. Because at SoU, every “Are we there yet?” comes with a lesson.

Today, our 4th graders got to dive into the world of Mawaru through the Book Readability Assessment. They listened to Mrs. Dwi bring the story to life, while Mrs. Dewi (Nibu) saw how they connected with the story and its message.

Afterwards, they got creative with a short evaluation and their own drawings of Tomo, the book’s main character. It was lovely to see how each child pictured the story in their own way.

Because literacy is more than reading. It’s about understanding.

One night, countless memories. Our Grade 4–6 students recently completed their Malam Bina Iman dan Taqwa (MABIT), where outdoor experiences, a Discipline Assembly, and faith-based learning nurtured faith, leadership, and teamwork.

As the sun set, the adventure continued with Inspire Hero, Muhasabah (self-reflection), Jurid Malam (night patrol), and Qiyamul Lail. Surrounded by nature, each moment encouraged reflection, resilience, and stronger faith.

More than just an overnight program, MABIT was an experience our students will carry with them long after the night ended. Each moment shaped their character and brought them one step closer to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.

Big environmental problems can feel impossible to solve. But every change starts with small, everyday habits. Our students learn to sort their waste into organic and inorganic categories, one simple choice at a time.

Through the SoU Waste Bank program, used materials are turned into creative artworks. These pieces brighten our classrooms and school events, while showing that even discarded items can have a second life.

Small actions become lasting habits. And when we grow those habits together, caring for the environment becomes part of everyday life.

Healthy bites, happy smiles, and lots of brave first tries! Our Daycare and Preschool–Kindergarten (PG-TK) students had a wonderful time at Healthy Snack Day, enjoying Fresh Fruit Salad and Banana Cake while discovering that healthy food can be both fun and delicious.

Snack time was also a chance to learn and grow. Students practiced patience while waiting their turn, built independence by taking care of their own eating utensils, and showed confidence as they explored new flavors and textures.

A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful parents for supporting today’s healthy menu. Your partnership makes every learning experience more meaningful as we nurture healthy habits and positive character together.
