This tense is used to talk about things that begin in the past and are still continuing or having an effect now.

FORMULATION :
(+) Subjects + have been / has been + V(ing) + adv. of time.
(-) Subjects + have not been / has not been + V(ing) + adv. of time.
(?) Have / has + subjects + been + V(ing) + adv. of time?

ex :

The Uses of ING-form

1. Relational Words
The connectives AND or BUT, the words indicating something added, TOO and ELSE, and the sequence signals THEN, AFTER, and AFTERWARDS were all discussed and practiced in earlier lessons [will be discussed later]. Some other words and expressions which show relationships between the ideas expressed in sentence patterns are listed below.
a. Addition : AND, BESIDES, AS WELL AS
