[AFTER MOVIE IChEC 2019]

Greetings to everyone!

The long event of Grand Final IChEC 2019 have finally been closed with Gala Dinner event two days ago on 26th October 2019.

With Unit Kebudayaan Riau, ITB Jazz, and Vocal Group Himatek ITB appearance, the closing event is held as well as the winner announcement of the grand final. The committee of IChEC 2019 hope this year IChEC become a memorable event for all the participant.

Lets go back to that day and feel the euphoria of all events in IChEC 2019 through the IChEC 2019 After Movie.

Thank you for all the help and support given by all people related in this event.

[IChEC 2019 GRAND SEMINAR]

The Grand Seminar of IChEC 2019 that was held in 26th October was full of enthusiasm and fun. We had a lot of interesting discussion between the speakers and the audience.

All of our speakers, Ms. Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti (Deputy of Economy and Disbursement, Bappenas), Mr. Abun Lie (QA R&D, Technical Service Manager, PT Ecogreen Oleochemicals), Mr. Andianto Hidayat (Vice President of Planning Commercial, Pertamina Research and Technology Center), Mr. Bayu Prabowo (Vice President of Planning Commercial, Pertamina Renewable Energy Expert) has given us great insight about the present condition of Indonesia industry and technology.

As the grand seminar has ended, we hope that all the audience got all the knowledge and awareness in making Indonesia better whether it is in terms of industry or technology as engineers.

And lastly, thank you for all the participation and the enthusiasm throughout IChEC 2019. We hope to see you on the next year event!

[Problem Solving Competition]

The Problem Solving Competition Grand Final had five finalist teams. As the problem was given by PT EMI, this competition presented Team Tape Manis Pogung from Universitas Gadjah Mada as the champion, consists of Bagus Adjie Prasetyo and Faisal Putra Mahardika, bringing the topic of 'Fluidized Bed Pyrolysis in Solid Waste Processing to Generate Electricity'

The first runner up is Team Ekalavya with Raihan Sirhindi and Qusairy Wardana Harahap as the team member whose topic is 'Utilization of Palm Oil Biomass Waste using Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle with Hydrothermal Pretreatment'.

The second runner up is Team Sembarani, consists of Muhammad Syauqi and M. Luthfi Fahrul Fahmi with the topic of 'Smart Solid Waste into Electricity'.

What an amazing idea! Congratulations to all the winners!

[Essay Competition]

The Essay Competition Grand Final is held with eight people as finalists.

This competition presented Ivant Septiawarman from ITB as the champion, bringing the topic of 'Microal-Jet Fuel Commercial Production using H2-free One-step Conversion Process and Fast Pyrolysis for a Sustainable Future'.

The first runner up is Putri Bunga Addini whose topic is 'Commercialization of Sugar-Waste based Bioplastic through the Beauty Industry'.

And the second runner up is Dewi Farra Prasasya from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember who brings the topic of 'Sustainable Energy Resource through Consolidated Bioprocessing (CBP) Bio-Isobutanol from Industrial Agar Solid Waste Pulp'.

[Plant Design Competition]

The most prestigious plant design competition in Indonesia gathered eight finalist teams in total, who hail from all over Indonesia.

After a strict scoring and judging process, the winner of this year's competition is BIXOLS team from Institut Teknologi Bandung, consists of Haditya Kukuh Purwanto, Farhan Hadi Taskaya, and Safikri Aji Pratama, who presented 'Integrated Production of Bioxylitol and Bioethanol by Utilization of Empty Fruit Bunch Waste from Palm Oil Mills'.

The first runner up is Widya Mandala CHE team from Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya, with Valentino Bervia Lunardi, Fransiska Gunawan and Andreas as the team member, with their presentation of 'Preliminary Plant Design of Levulinic Acid from Water Hyacinth with Combination of Subcritical Water and Catalytic Processes'.

And lastly, the second runner up is Switt team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember with their 'Switt Bioethanol Plant Empowering Bioenergy'. The trio consists of Agra Yuba Bachtiar, Maulidah Haniati, and Aisyah Alifatul Z.R.
