What an incredible day at DLI Open Day Bandung!

The event brought together prospective students, parents, alumni, and the DLI community for a day of learning, exploration, and meaningful conversations about international education.

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for attendees to experience university learning firsthand through trial classes led by our experienced lecturers:

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from our alumni speakers, Vitto Axel Wilianto, Kelvin Liauw, and Jonathan Vieri, who shared their experiences studying at Lancaster University and Deakin University.

The DLI Open Day in Jakarta welcomed prospective students, parents, alumni, and members of the DLI community for insightful discussions, alumni sharing sessions, and opportunities to learn more about us.

Their stories provided attendees with firsthand perspectives on the quality of both Deakin University and Lancaster University, and why the establishment of their branch campus in Indonesia through DLI represents an exciting opportunity for students as we bring international education within reach.

Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI) was honoured to participate at the Indonesia-Australia Transnational Education (TNE) CONNECT 2026 Symposium: “Paving the way for sustainable and impactful TNE Partnership” on 25-26 May at the Westin Hotel Jakarta, organised by the Australian Embassy Jakarta.

Amongst the distinguished leaders at the TNE CONNECT symposium were H.E. Gita Kamath, Australian Chargé d’Affaires, Prof. Jennifer Westacott AC, Australian Business Champion to Indonesia and Chancellor of Western Sydney University, and Prof. Hermawan Kresno Dipojono, MSEE, PhD, Expert Staff to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

Prof Greg Barton, Rector of DLI was one of the the keynote speakers at the Plenary Session: “Transnational Education in Indonesia: State of Play and Opportunities”.
