Watching growth like this is always special ✨

Nilam (13), one of our students in the BAS Art & Craft Masterclass Program, takes a confident step forward in her graphite pencil studies.

From carefully observing proportions and shape, to building convincing light and shadow, she shows a strong understanding of how form exists in space. Her handling of texture—from reflective metal to organic surfaces—demonstrates patience, sensitivity, and control.

This is what happens when observation meets consistency:
lines become structure, tones become volume, and simple objects turn into something alive on paper.

Keep going, Nilam—this is a beautiful milestone, not the finish line.

From our BAS Art & Craft Masterclass, this exercise focuses on color studies using a grayscale reference.
The student is currently studying at an Art University and aims to build a deep, comprehensive understanding of color — beyond intuition, into structure and logic.

One of the core exercises in color studies is learning how to translate values into colors based on a specific lighting and color scenario. Starting from a black-and-white reference (slide 2) helps train the eye to separate value, hue, and saturation — a crucial skill for painting, illustration, and design.

This is not about copying colors, but understanding why a color works.
Slow process, strong foundation. 🎯

🎮✨ Kay (12 y.o.) in his Roblox era ✨🎮

Meet Kay, one of our BAS Art & Craft Kids Class students, diving deep into his favorite Roblox game: Forsaken 👾🖤
These drawings are inspired by the game’s characters — but with a twist 👀

What we love most?
👉 Kay didn’t just redraw them.
👉 He experimented with different art styles, moods, and character expressions.
👉 From bold shapes to darker tones, you can really see him exploring his visual language. 🎨

This is what learning art should feel like: playful, curious, and fearless. Keep experimenting, Kay — your style is loading… 🔄✨

🎨✨ Portrait Study in Progress ✨🎨

From our BAS Art & Craft Masterclass – Color Pencil Session, here’s a glimpse of an expressive portrait study done by me together with our student Rasyif. 🖌️✏️

Using the grid technique, we explored how to break down complex details into manageable sections, focusing on accuracy, layering, and blending colors to bring life and energy into the work. The result? Bold strokes, vibrant tones, and powerful expressions captured on paper. 🔥

This session shows how patience and precision can turn small grids into a striking, realistic portrait. Proud of the effort and progress made! 👏

Welcome back, Danish! 🎉
After more than a year off the course, it was truly heartwarming to have Danish return to our art session.
Some things never change—he’s still the same studious, curious, and wonderfully experimental artist.

This time, we explored the basics of Procreate—getting to know essential tools like brushes and color drops. It was a light and joyful session, full of laughter and learning.

Alhamdulillaah, we wrapped it up with a vibrant abstract piece—his first on Procreate, and hopefully the first of many more to come! 🌈✨

Slide 1 (Portrait Drawings)
🎨 Student Spotlight: Kim (16 y.o.)
One of the most talented young artists I’ve had the pleasure to teach. Kim’s portrait drawing (bottom) is almost indistinguishable from mine (top). But talent alone doesn’t explain it — what sets her apart is her absolute dedication to practice and refinement. 🖤

Slide 2 (Iris Drawings)
Another comparison: mine (top), hers (bottom).
See the confidence in her charcoal handling? The sensitivity to edges, contrast, light? She’s constantly observing, pushing herself, and asking questions.

Slide 3 (Tools & Process)
We use the same tools, but what Kim achieves with them is purely her own. She shows up, commits, and improves with every session. Proud teacher moment.

Keep swiping for more!

🌱✨ Keep going, Kim. The art world needs voices like yours.
