Islamic Kingdoms in the 16th century โ˜ช๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‘

The first-ever establishment of an Islamic polity goes back to the Islamic State of Medina, which was established by Muhammad in the city of Medina in 622 CE. Following his death in 632 CE, his immediate successors established the Rashidun Caliphate.

After that Muslim dynasties rose; some of these dynasties established notable and prominent Muslim empires, such as the Umayyad Empire and later the Abbasid Empire, Ottoman Empire centered around Anatolia, the Safavid Empire of Persia, and the Mughal Empire in India.

Development of the Roman Empire ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ

This image is a historical map showing the territorial changes of the Roman Empire at three different points in time: 350 BC, 200 BC, and 117 AD. The map uses a color scheme to differentiate between the territories, with the Roman Empire's extent marked in red. Each timeframe is outlined in a rectangular box that shows the political boundaries and names of regions, tribes, and bodies of water during that era. At the bottom, a decorative emblem reads "The Roman Empire," with the date 486 AD below it, suggesting another significant time in the empire's history. The map is designed with an aged, parchment-like background, giving it an antique appearance.

Oddest Shaped Countries ๐Ÿ”น๐ŸŒ

Some countries have odd shapes due to a variety of historical, geographical, and political reasons. Often, their borders are the result of historical conflicts, colonial legacies, or treaties that created unusual outlines. For example, countries like Chile (a long, narrow strip) and Italy (a boot shape) reflect historical influences and geographical constraints that shaped their boundaries over time.

Additionally, geographical features such as mountains, rivers, and coastlines can significantly impact a country's shape. For instance, the Gambia is a narrow strip along the Gambia River, and Vietnam stretches along the eastern coast of the Indochina Peninsula. These natural features have often dictated the borders and shapes of countries based on the terrain and strategic considerations.

Note: The countries are not on a real scale.
