The International Centre for Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies (ICAIOS) is a joint effort of three universities in Aceh – University of Syiah Kuala and IAIN Ar-Raniry in Banda Aceh, and University of Malikussaleh in Lhokseumawe – and supported by the Government of Aceh as well as several international academic institutions.
