40 MERKABA - ACTIVATE YOUR LIGHT BODY

I am the merkaba, a chariot vehicle of your light essence. Perhaps you are familiar with my form or perhaps I am new to you. Do you know that I surround each and every being? Not only humans but all living beings are surrounded by a merkaba. I am formed of two pyramids that fit together, one pointed to earth, the other to the heavens. The down ward pyramid is feminine, the upward pyramid is masculine. But I am not a fixed and static form, I spin.

Let me explain my name to you, for many have forgotten its original meaning. Mer = pyramid, for this is the form that helps maintain form. Ka = energy body, and indeed I am an intrinsic aspect of your energy self – unseen by most and yet available to be felt by all that attune to their body. Ba = soul. You can see my Merkabic shape as a temple that houses your glorious soul. Your Ba sits above the crown, at the apex of your merkaba, the point that points you to the heavens! Right now in this very breath, the invisible field of the merkaba spins, and helps to hold your Ka (energy body) and your Ba (soul) together with your human bodily form.

Many now are remembering the chariot of light which is their merkaba. Let me tell you my secret – when you set me to spinning – my two pyramids in opposing directions both at once – your inner god and inner goddess activate and align into the divine vehicle of your being. Your merkaba becomes a vehicle of light, within which you may travel through space and time. If that seems insane to you, then make of it an imaginal picture show! My invitation: come travel with me, become your merkaba energy body and fly.

If you have drawn my card today, my question to you is this: How much are you connecting to your energy body in preparation for the day when activating your merkaba is as natural (once again) as starting a car? For this is your car your real car. Your Mer – Ka – Ba.

PRACTICE: Visualise the shape of the merkaba surrounding you. If it helps, get a photo or a 3D form of the merkaba. Look at it, then close your eyes and visualise it in your inner eye. If you know how to, you can set your merkaba to spinning. If you have not yet been taught, then find a teacher to support you in turning the key.

There's an energy inside you that most people never learn to access. ⚡☥

39 MERIT – CONNECT TO YOUR BELOVED

I am merit, I am the beloved. The couple I am most synonymous with in Egypt is Osiris and Isis, the infamous King and Queen of the desert lands. They were deeply in love with one another, they were one another's ‘merit’ beloved. The deep love between Isis and Osiris expanded through all the planes of consciousness that are possible between two beings, from the most earthly to the most spiritual.

As a word I also symbolise the unification process between two beloveds, that enter into a union of two bodies, hearts and souls. Whilst the souls remain in some ways indi viduated, there is also the merging of two into one.

You can see this as an outer marriage between you and someone you love, but you can also see it as the inner alchemical marriage between your King and Queen, between your masculine and feminine coming into deepest union. Indeed, this inner marriage is crucial, even if one is in an outer marriage with a beloved. If you have drawn this card today reflect on your relationship to the beloved.

If you're in relationship with another, reflect on this union you share with another. Are you attaining to great heights with your beloved? Are you as a two finding the ways to enter into the one? An obvious way that may occur is through lo******ng, but it can also come through shared spiritual practice.

If you are not in relationship, work with the beloved alchemically, through the marriage between your inner masculine and feminine. You can do so by exploring spiritual practices that bring about unification between them.

Working with the Ankh is one of many practices that can bring about this unification state, so too the practices that work with the Single or Double Serpents. In essence, you're looking to elevate energy into the higher energy centres in the body, to invite the union between the witnessing presence (the masculine) with the Sekhem life-force experience of energy (the feminine). The meeting of these two carries you into the alchemical union state of the beloved.

PRACTICE: The Beloved Heart. Either solo or with your partner, breathe and raise the breath up into the heart. Breath by breath allow yourself to open to the tender edge, the intimate sensitivity of the heart. If it feels closed or guarded then breathe for a time to see if you can gently, lovingly melt the ice. Connect to your inner heart beloved, or to the beloved that sits in front of you. Allow yourself to be seen in this tender space. For this is where love grows.

Did you know Ancient Egypt had its own word for Ta**ra? 🤯☥

Deep in the ancient Egyptian texts lives a fascinating word: Tettetu.

Nested inside it is Tet or Djed — which symbolise the spine, and also represents power.

Tettetu translated poetically means: "the meeting of the two spines aligned to the divine."

And if you go hunting through the Egyptian temple walls — as I did late last year — you'll find it depicted. Hidden in the crypts of Dendera Temple for example, is an image of two people sitting spine to spine. Small. Easy to miss. But unmistakably there.

Why spine to spine? Because it's how you support energy to rise and circulate between two people. It activates the Ka — the energy body. It opens the ancient Ankh practices that move energy between the s*x, the heart, and the soul.

Out through the back of your heart. Through your partner's heart. Up through the two Ba - the two soul points. And back into your heart again.

An exquisite circuit of energy I've found nowhere else on earth. 🌀

This is just one of the secret keys of Egyptian Ta**ra. Encoded in stone, but more importantly, its waiting to be experienced - felt and breathed with, spine to spine with someone else.

38 THE DOUBLE TRIANGLE (DE) CULTIVATE GIVING

I am known as De, the double pointed triangle often seen in hieroglyphs right beside the Ankh. My essence is to give, and I stand alongside the Ankh because that symbol was and is meant to be given and shared widely. My upward directionality is intentional so as to emphasise the upwards movement at the heart of the Ankh as a key. Much like the pyramid I rise up and meet a higher point, and this higher point typically is to the same height as the Ankh symbol I stand engraved beside. Depicted thus I am saying – let us rise to the Ba, to the soul point – and let this wisdom be given, shared and known by many.

Within Egypt for a long time the Ankh was deeply under stood by many. Then as consciousness fell and those in power became fearful of any loss of power, my deeper secrets were hidden away from the majority. Thus the idea of freely sharing the wisdom of the Ankh became lost over time, out of human fear.

Despite that, the Ankh has always been here to support evolution and the expansion of consciousness. I as the symbol that stands again and again beside the Ankh am that reminder: Give of the breath of life, give of the Ankh, share it with all those with the ears to hear. With all those who harbour an interest to elevate, to rise, to grow in some way.

If you have drawn my card today the question I pose is this: How much are you giving within your own life? Within your world? How much are you sharing of that which you believe in? Or perhaps you do not even identify with a specific spiritual path and yet how much are you giving of your heart, your soul and your truth in your daily life? How much are you giving? And is there something you could do to offer even more to the world around you in joyful service?

PRACTICE: Breathe slowly to drop into meditation. Visualise a golden Ankh symbol and imagine sending it out in all directions. That could be to your immediate environment, or to a whole neighbourhood, a town or city, a country, a continent, or to the whole planet. Visualise it as many gold Ankhs expanding in all directions.

The secondary practice is a writing exercise. Write down things you could do to give to others. That could be as simple as a hug or some loving words or some of your time to a loved one. It can also be to those you do not know. How can you serve the wider world? Write out a list of things to give, offer or share to spread love, support and inspiration to others.

37 THE AB (OR IB) - CONNECT TO YOUR HEART

I am your heart, but I am not only the physical organ that pumps blood around your body, I am also the secondary seat of your soul. When your Ab (Heart) and your Ba (Soul) align, then the soul is able to descend into your heart. From there it can guide, support, and magnify your life’s mission from a place of loving service. It matters not how you serve, only that you serve this world or its people in some way. In doing so you allow your heart to perfect its highest calling to learn how to love more.

Learning to love more can easily be a lifetime journey. Perhaps you have found it challenging to love even those closest to you. Know that as your heart – as love’s potential manifest within your body – I am here to experience and expand our capacity to love over and over and over again. Can you love the strangers you meet upon the street? Can you love the politician cut off from his heart? Can you love the one that is waging war? Can you love everyone, truly?

Know that indeed it is possible, that saints and sages throughout the ages have learnt, and not only those that wear the right robes. There are mothers and fathers the world over that have learnt the great art of loving. It may begin with their own children and can come in its crowning glory to be a love for all beings, all humans, all animals, and the living world itself.

If you have drawn my card today, I am here to remind you to go deeper into the temple of your own heart. Breathe to open the heart more, and discover breath by breath, how you can love more.

PRACTICE: Bring every breath consciously up into the chest. Let each breath be deep, wide and open. Anything that you might feel in the heart – meet it in and through your breath. Any tightness, pain or contraction – let the breath meet it – releasing any pain or discomfort on the exhale. In this way, breath by breath and day by day you learn how to love more.
