It has been an absolute privilege for the school to support our Year 13 students through Resilience Week. This dedicated program was designed to help them tackle both the everyday practicalities and the emotional shifts that come with taking their next steps into the world.
The journey kicked off with Tom in the kitchen, where an interactive cooking session reminded students that self-care starts with good nutrition. Building on this theme of personal care, Ms. Lori and Ms. Shenk hosted an informative health seminar, empowering the cohort with vital wellness knowledge to help them make safe, responsible choices in the future.
To equip students for real-world challenges, representatives from The Lighthouse joined the week to provide crucial substance awareness education. Physical safety was also a major focus, as Pak Wayan led a hands-on, practical self-defense workshop that successfully boosted everyone's situational awareness.
Addressing the deeper emotional side of major life transitions, Pak Klaus guided the students through heartfelt conversations about moving away, coping with homesickness, and prioritizing mental health. To close out a rewarding week, Ms. Zeiler led a special gratitude activity, giving the cohort a beautiful moment to pause, reflect on their favorite school memories, and express their appreciation for one another.
The school is incredibly proud of the maturity and deep sense of community the Year 13s demonstrated all week.
