Tegnap és ma ismét felpörögtek az események Máltán, sok mindent láttunk és tapasztaltunk!
A tegnapi nap végén viszont a rengeteg tanulás és a hűsítő úszás után már annyira elfáradtunk, hogy erényt csináltunk a pihenésből, és mára halasztottuk a beszámolót.
A szerdai angolórán a melléknevek fokozását vettük át – így most már hivatalosan, nyelvtanilag is alátámasztva tudjuk:
👉 Itt jobb, mint otthon! (Better than at home!)
És határozottan jobb a bal oldalon közlekedni, mint a jobbon - legalábbis Máltán -, ha nem szeretnénk szembe menni a forgalommal!
A viccet félretéve: érezzük, hogy napról napra hatalmasat fejlődik az angoltudásunk.
A tegnap délutáni órák után pedig nyakunkba vettük a szigetet, és ellátogattunk a mesés Golden Bayre, ahol a csodás tengerparti naplementében pihentük ki a tanulás fáradalmait.
Ma pedig folytattuk az angoltanulást és a felfedezést.
Ha azt hitted, Málta csak a sziklákról meg a történelemkönyvekről szól, nagyobbat nem is tévedhetnél. A sziget tartogat pár olyan meglepetést, amikről még a sirályok is csak halkan csicseregnek.
Délután, 30 Celsius fokos hőségben eljutottunk a híres Popeye-faluhoz (vagy ahogy sokan hívják, a Popeye-szigethez), ahol konkrétan belesétáltunk egy élő rajzfilmbe. https://www.popeyemalta.com/
A helyszínen szuperfejlett spenóterővel megáldott, végtelenül huncut animátorok fogadtak minket – és miközben azon drukkoltunk, nehogy Olive kiabálni kezdjen, a kristálytiszta, hűs tenger gyorsan csábításba ejtett minket egy frissítő csobbanásra, ahol a víziprogramért felelős animátorok fülbemászó zenére vízi aerobikra csábították a túristákat. (Dejavú érzésünk volt, amikor Péter Attila a Triatlonon táncoltatta meg Tiszaújváros lakosságát.)
A szárazföldi és tengerparti mókák után emeltük a tétet, és benéztünk a Nemzeti Akváriumba is. https://aquarium.com.mt/
Itt nemcsak a víz alatti világ lenyűgözően szép és színes kishalai bukkantak fel, de farkasszemet nézhettünk néhány elég menő cápával is. (Szerencsére az üveg vastag volt, a cápák pedig úgy tűnt, már ebédeltek.)
Tény: Málta nemcsak elvarázsol, de garantáltan mosolyt csal az arcodra és feltölt élménnyel. Csomagolj törölközőt, némi humort, és irány a sziget!

Things really picked up again yesterday and today in Malta – we’ve seen and experienced so much!
By the end of yesterday, however, after all that studying and a refreshing swim, we were so tired that we decided rest was a virtue, so we’ve postponed writing this report until today.
In Wednesday’s English lesson, we covered the comparison of adjectives – so now we know, officially and with grammatical backing:
👉 It’s better here than at home! (Better than at home!)
And it’s definitely better to walk on the left than on the right – at least in Malta – if you don’t want to walk into oncoming traffic!
Joking aside: we can really feel our English improving by leaps and bounds every day.
After yesterday’s afternoon lessons, we explored the island and visited the fabulous Golden Bay, where we relaxed and recharged after a hard day’s studying whilst watching the stunning sunset over the sea.
Today, we continued with our English lessons and our explorations.
If you thought Malta was all about cliffs and history books, you couldn’t be more wrong. The island has a few surprises in store that even the seagulls only whisper about.
In the afternoon, in 30-degree heat, we made our way to the famous Popeye Village (or, as many call it, Popeye Island), where we literally walked straight into a live-action cartoon. We were greeted on site by incredibly mischievous entertainers blessed with superhuman energy – and whilst we were crossing our fingers that Olive wouldn’t start shouting, the crystal-clear, cool sea quickly tempted us to take a refreshing dip, where the entertainers in charge of the water programme enticed the holidaymakers to join in some water aerobics to catchy music. (We had a sense of déjà vu when Attila Péter got the residents of Tiszaújváros dancing at the Triathlon.)
After our fun on land and by the sea, we upped the ante and popped into the National Aquarium. Here, not only did we come across the stunningly beautiful and colourful little fish of the underwater world, but we also found ourselves face to face with some pretty cool sharks. (Fortunately, the glass was thick, and the sharks seemed to have already had their lunch.)
Fact: Malta doesn’t just enchant you – it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face and fill you with wonderful experiences. Pack a towel, a sense of humour, and head for the island!
