On May 30, 2026, the Thai Student Association in Hungary (TSAH), Vietnamese Students' Association in Hungary (SVHU), Lao Students Association in Hungary (LSAH), Indonesian Student Association in Hungary (PPIH), Association of Filipino Students in Hungary (AFSHu), and Malaysian Students in Hungary (MASIH) proudly hosted the inaugural ASEAN Academic Symposium in Hungary at CEU, Budapest.

We were deeply privileged to welcome esteemed diplomatic representatives who set an inspiring tone for the day with their opening remarks:

We are thrilled to introduce the six outstanding students who will represent their countries at the inaugural ASEAN Student Academic Symposium in Hungary 2026, one presenter from each participating nation:

We are proud to announce the inaugural ASEAN Student Academic Symposium in Hungary 2026, taking place on 30 May 2026 at the Faculty Tower, Central European University (CEU), Budapest

This event marks the first-ever collaboration between six ASEAN student associations in Hungary:

🇹🇭 Thai Student Association in Hungary (TSAH)
🇻🇳 Vietnamese Students’ Association in Hungary (SVHU)
🇱🇦 Lao Students Association in Hungary (LSAH)
🇮🇩 Indonesian Student Association in Hungary (PPIH)
🇵🇭 Association of Filipino Students in Hungary (AFSHu)
🇲🇾 Malaysian Students in Hungary (MASIH)

✨The ASEAN Student Academic Symposium aims to create a dynamic international platform for emerging scholars to:
• Present their research
• Exchange ideas across disciplines
• Build meaningful academic and cross-cultural connections between ASEAN and Europe

🎤 Call for Presenters
We warmly invite ASEAN students and researchers in Hungary to submit their work for a chance to present at this meaningful event.

📚 Six outstanding presenters, one from each participating country, will be selected to showcase their research. All academic disciplines are welcome.

On 27 April 2026, the Thai Student Association in Hungary had the great honour of taking part in the Chud Thai Fashion Show 🇹🇭, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest at the Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel. The event showcased all eight traditional forms of Chud Thai, Thailand’s national attire established and brought into prominence by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, alongside contemporary Thai silk designs by PASSA Silkwear. 👗💐

We are especially proud that our Thai student members had the privilege of joining the stage as models, representing the elegance, beauty, and cultural pride of Thailand to an international audience through this remarkable showcase of Thai national costume and contemporary fashion. 🎻✨

We would like to sincerely thank the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest for the kind invitation and for giving our students this wonderful opportunity. It was a truly memorable evening that reminded us of the beauty of our heritage and the pride we carry as Thais living abroad. 🌐💞
