Singularity in surgical training - YourAnastomosis Subscription
Robotic cardiac surgery is beginning to spread, and our training models must evolve with it. A new paradigm in surgical training is emerging. From the perspective of surgical education, focused on technical and non-technical skill development and performance improvement, there has never been a perio...

🏆 New Anastomosis Challenge at International Coronary Congress
– Finalists Announced! 🏆
We’re excited to launch a brand-new initiative in collaboration with at 11th International Coronary Congress! On the very first day of the congress, a distal coronary anastomosis competition was held, where participants performed on very similar LIMA-LAD case replications. Judging was based on coronary flow performance and objective scoring.
We’re now thrilled to announce our four finalists:
🔹Michal Pasierski
🔹Gustavo Orellana Sampedro
🔹Ali Hassan
🔹Christy Wong
👏 Congratulations to all for their outstanding performance! These finalists now move on to our final challenge, where they will perform a LIMA–LAD anastomosis during the main session to determine the ICC Champion of the Year.
Cross fingers and stay tuned!
Thank you very much for support of Medtronic and John Puskas, Gianluca Torregrossa to their support in bringing this initiative forward.

🇧🇪 It was our greatest pleasure and honour to contribute to the Robotic Revascularisation Course this week in Leuven; with two rotational hands-on training sessions, under the exceptional direction of Prof. Oosterlinck. ✨
Participants had the opportunity to practice on real case replications directly from University of Leuven, gaining practical insights, tips, and nuanced techniques to take home.
A dedicated robotic station was set up for fully robotic mammary artery harvesting, using realistic tissue models to simulate diathermy and dissection. Each session included full analysis and scoring of thermal and mechanical impact on graft integrity.
This training brought together every element of Robotic Assisted-MIDCAB, from technical skills to objective outcome prediction for both graft quality and anastomosis performance. Thank you very much for Wouter Oosterlinck for outstanding professionality and for EACTS - European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery to organize this unique course. 🤝 ✨
