University of Pécs, Hungary

Founded in 1367, The University of Pécs is Hungary's oldest university. It has had a chequered history, but the modern university, was established in 1921.

In January 2000 the University merged with the Medical University and the College of Education to become one of Hungary's largest institutions of higher education, having the widest range of academic programmes and research projects.
