University of Pécs, Faculty of Business and Economics

Students from Ohio University, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and the University of Pécs, Faculty of Business and Economics worked together in international consulting teams on real-life challenges provided by local organisations.

Throughout the two-week Simonyi Summer Social Entrepreneurship Program, participants developed creative and sustainable solutions in areas such as fundraising, social media, tourism, community engagement and social entrepreneurship.

This year, ten local projects took part in the programme, giving students the opportunity to contribute to the development of organisations in Pécs and the region while gaining valuable hands-on consulting experience.

The XVIII. Finance Days in Pécs have officially started! 📊

This year, the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics once again becomes a meeting point for finance and accounting professionals, researchers and students.

The two-day conference focuses on how the financial world can adapt to an evolving environment shaped by sustainability, technological development, economic instability and artificial intelligence.

The programme offers a valuable opportunity for experiential learning, international collaboration and creating meaningful impact on the local economy.

The 5th Farkas Ferenc International Scientific Conference took place at the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics, focusing this year on human-centred leadership and change management in the age of artificial intelligence.

The two-day event honours the intellectual legacy of Professor Dr. Ferenc Farkas, while creating a valuable platform for Hungarian and international researchers, educators, corporate professionals and young scholars to exchange ideas.

One of the key strengths of the conference is its interdisciplinary approach. Participants are discussing current questions related to artificial intelligence, digitalisation, organisational change, leadership, resilience and employee well-being. We are especially honoured that several defining figures of Hungarian management science are also taking part in the event, including Attila Chikán, Miklós Dobák, Gyula Bakacsi and József Poór.

We would like to thank our corporate and professional partners for contributing to the conference not only as supporters, but also as active participants, strengthening the dialogue between academia and the business world.
