🌱 8th Sustainable Cement and Concrete Symposium | University of Miskolc

We are pleased to share the 8th Sustainable Cement and Concrete Symposium, taking place at the University of Miskolc on 21 October 2026 at 10:00 AM.

The symposium brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals to explore innovative approaches toward a low-carbon and more sustainable future for cement and concrete.

🔬 Key themes include:
• Decarbonisation of cement and concrete
• Sustainable and recycled construction materials
• Waste-based geopolymers and soil stabilisation
• Low-carbon ceramic materials
• Alternative raw materials
• Biomass fly ash and supplementary cementitious materials

🔬 Researcher Day | Field Geoelectric Measurement

Tomorrow, the EAGE Miskolc Student Chapter & AAPG Student Chapters will organize a hands-on field geoelectric measurement at the Miskolci Egyetem (University of Miskolc) Műszaki Föld- és Környezettudományi Kar - Miskolci Egyetem.

🌍 What will we do?
We will test a newly developed geoelectric circle-sectioning method in real field conditions. The measurements will be used to investigate the direction and location of a subsurface tunnel and, most importantly, to validate this new scientific method through field measurements.

👥 Who can participate?
Students interested in geophysics, geoelectrics, field measurements, near-surface geophysics, or research are welcome to join and take part in this practical experience.
