*** Erasmus + ETCO "Social Entrepreneurship Week" event introduced at Gimnazija Novo mesto, Slovenia***

Novo mesto High School participates in the Erasmus+ project ETCO: Empowering Teacher Competence to Promote Social Entrepreneurship in European Schools which is coming to an end.

From June 12 to 16, 2023, a Social Entrepreneurship Week for all second-year students will be held at the school. Students will get acquainted with the basics of social entrepreneurship, but above all, they will learn the main difference between entrepreneurship driven by profit and social entrepreneurship. They will test their knowledge of the basics of the Moodle learning platform. Besides that many learning materials created in the project are also available to them.
The aim of the project and the workshop is to promote social entrepreneurship in European schools.
The partner countries in the project are Hungary, Greece, Turkey and Slovenia.

Social entrepreneurship is the organization of a business around specific social and environmental causes, and can include both nonprofit organizations and charities and for-profit social enterprises.

Social entrepreneurs differ from traditional entrepreneurs in that their main drive is to make a difference in the world or in their communities. They often have personal experience with the causes they support, which inspires their business’s mission.

Preparing for the next Learning Teaching Training event in Zonguldak, Turkey, 20-25 February 2003.
