ry 4.0. First, the technical development is ahead of the existing learning material. Second, the traditional way of education is getting less effective, thinking of new generation students is different. Newly graduated students start their working career in automotive industry without any experience in Industry 4.0. During the implementation the project partners exchange their knowledge about i4.0. This helps to create a common understanding about Industry 4.0. The project aim is a new approach for how to educate Industry 4.0 at universities. During this project following steps are planned:

1. Benchmarking workshop for the participating universities to collect the existing knowledge and prepare the conference

2. Conference which offers wider view by involving OEM car manufacturers

3. Second workshop will summarize new ideas and recommendations

The already existing LEAN laboratories (Kosice and Budapest) are going to be improved with Industry 4.0 solutions which enables a good university education platform for future students. Automotive Industry has a considerable presence in Central-Europe. However, there is no standardized definition of Industry 4.0, there are individual experiments. Central-European universities provide an outstanding background for automotive industry with education of mechanical engineers. As industry 4.0 in itself is a very complex topic to educate, cooperation among universities is essential. This way a common approach might be established which can create a common base for industry 4.0 education.
