🇪🇸🏆 Outstanding Success in the National Spanish Writing Competition! 🏆🇪🇸
We are thrilled to announce that two of our TÁG students achieved top honors in the national Spanish language contest titled "Mi palabra favorita nació aquí" (My favorite word was born here), organized by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain and the La Rioja Spanish School. 🖋️✨

The competition aimed to celebrate Spanish as a living language and promote creative writing while highlighting San Millán de la Cogolla—the historic birthplace of written Spanish. Contestants were tasked with writing an original story centered around a meaningful Spanish word, symbolically "born" in 11th-century La Rioja. ⛪📜

🥉 Podium Finish at the National DEbate Finals! 🥉
On April 24, 2026, the University of Debrecen and the U.S. Embassy hosted the grand finals of the national DEbate competition, where our very own team, DebAtIng, delivered an outstanding performance! 🇺🇸🇭🇺

The team engaged in two nuanced debates regarding the foundations of democracy and the importance of protecting freedom of speech. After winning both rounds with high scores, they secured a prestigious 3rd place finish! 🏆✨

This result is the fruit of their dedicated work throughout the entire school year. Team DebAtIng tackled every challenge with expert preparation, humility, and harmonious teamwork. 🤝💡

💥Március 27-28-án, Pécsett rendezték meg a Kutató Diákok Mozgalma által szervezett TUDOK Diákkonferencia Kárpát-medencei döntőjét, ahol Lesku Dóra (12.g) az Orvostudomány, Egészségtudomány, Molekuláris és Mikrobiológia szekcióban Nagydíjban részesült. Mentorai: Dr. Juhász Tamás és Fillér Csaba.
Felkészítő tanára: Szűcsné Kerti Anita.

Halasi-Kovács Anna (12. IB) az Állattan, Ökológia és Növénytan szekcióban 2. helyezést ért el. Mentorai: Prof. Dr. Vasas Gábor és Riba Milán.

Hatalmas büszkeség számunkra, hogy a Kézilabda „B” Diákolimpia országos döntőjében a TÁG leány kézilabdacsapata aranyérmet szerzett! 👏🤾‍♀️

Diákjaink végig fantasztikus küzdőszellemmel, fegyelmezetten és egymást támogatva játszottak, ennek meg is lett az eredménye: a dobogó legfelső fokára állhattak.

💥 Between 18-21 March, 10 students from the IB Diploma Programme of Tóth Árpád Gimnázium participated in Karinthy Model United Nations (KarMUN) conference - an educational activity in which students simulate the workings and protocols of the United Nations.
The students discussed several key issues the world is currently challenged by, ranging from country-specific problems to all-encompassing, global issues.
