📚 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition at Tóth Árpád Gimnázium

Last Wednesday, our 11th grade IB students presented their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) exhibitions to the school community.

🧐 TOK focuses on interdisciplinary thinking and the nature of knowledge, encouraging students to explore how knowledge is created, interpreted, and disseminated across different areas of understanding. As part of the exhibition, students responded to abstract TOK questions using concrete real-world objects to illustrate complex ideas and perspectives.

👏 Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and engaged with our students in discussion. Congratulations to our students for their insightful ideas and hard work!

📚 Tudáselmélet (TOK) kiállítás a Tóth Árpád Gimnáziumban

Múlt szerdán 11. IB-s diákjaink bemutatták Tudáselmélet (Theory of Knowledge – TOK) kiállításukat az iskola közösségének.

🧐 A TOK a tantárgyakon átívelő gondolkodásra és a tudás természetére összpontosít. Arra ösztönzi a tanulókat, hogy fedezzék fel, miként jön létre, hogyan értelmeződik és terjed a tudás a különböző műveltségterületeken. A kiállítás részeként a diákok absztrakt TOK-kérdésekre keresték a választ: a való életből vett, kézzelfogható tárgyak segítségével szemléltették az összetett elképzeléseket és a különféle nézőpontokat.

👏 Köszönjük mindenkinek, aki ellátogatott a kiállításra, és tartalmas beszélgetéseket folytatott a diákjainkkal! Óriási gratuláció a tanulóknak az inspiráló ötleteikhez és a rengeteg befektetett munkához!

🇪🇸🏆 Outstanding Success in the National Spanish Writing Competition! 🏆🇪🇸
We are thrilled to announce that two of our TÁG students achieved top honors in the national Spanish language contest titled "Mi palabra favorita nació aquí" (My favorite word was born here), organized by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain and the La Rioja Spanish School. 🖋️✨

The competition aimed to celebrate Spanish as a living language and promote creative writing while highlighting San Millán de la Cogolla—the historic birthplace of written Spanish. Contestants were tasked with writing an original story centered around a meaningful Spanish word, symbolically "born" in 11th-century La Rioja. ⛪📜

🥉 Podium Finish at the National DEbate Finals! 🥉
On April 24, 2026, the University of Debrecen and the U.S. Embassy hosted the grand finals of the national DEbate competition, where our very own team, DebAtIng, delivered an outstanding performance! 🇺🇸🇭🇺

The team engaged in two nuanced debates regarding the foundations of democracy and the importance of protecting freedom of speech. After winning both rounds with high scores, they secured a prestigious 3rd place finish! 🏆✨

This result is the fruit of their dedicated work throughout the entire school year. Team DebAtIng tackled every challenge with expert preparation, humility, and harmonious teamwork. 🤝💡

Végtelenül büszkék vagyunk az összes TÁG-os résztvevőre és felkészítő tanáraikra, de különleges örömmel emeljük ki végzős, 12. We are incredibly proud of all our TÁG participants and their dedicated mentors. 🙌TÁG-os sikerek a TUDOK Diákkonferencián 💙

💥Március 27-28-án, Pécsett rendezték meg a Kutató Diákok Mozgalma által szervezett TUDOK Diákkonferencia Kárpát-medencei döntőjét, ahol Lesku Dóra (12.g) az Orvostudomány, Egészségtudomány, Molekuláris és Mikrobiológia szekcióban Nagydíjban részesült. Mentorai: Dr. Juhász Tamás és Fillér Csaba.
Felkészítő tanára: Szűcsné Kerti Anita.

Halasi-Kovács Anna (12. IB) az Állattan, Ökológia és Növénytan szekcióban 2. helyezést ért el. Mentorai: Prof. Dr. Vasas Gábor és Riba Milán.
Felkészítő tanára: Gőz József.

A döntőben részt vett és így szintén iskolánkat képviselte Fényes Balázs is (12.e), az Informatika, Fizika, Matematika, Műszaki tudományok szekcióban. Mentora: Alekszejenkó Levente.
