A következő előadást Balázs-Hajdu Péter, a Pécsi Tudományegyetem adjunktusa tartja a Mercuriales sorozatban Balassi Bálint Szép magyar komédiájának ajánlásáról.
Balassi Bálint pásztordrámájának dedikációját elsősorban annak kritika- illetve poétikatörténeti vonatkozásai okán övezi kitüntetett figyelem a szakirodalomban. Ugyanakkor nem teljesen egyértelmű, hogy mit is jelentenek pontosan ezek a nagyra értékelt mondatok. Ezért a szövegnek az idők során több, egymással polemizáló értelmezési lehetősége is felmerült. Az előadás egy újabb javaslattal gazdagítaná ezek körét.

Call for papers alert! The Canons Regular of St Augustine and their books take centre stage! Following our successful collaboration on cataloguing the Żagań codices, the Centre for Medieval Studies at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and Wrocław University Library would like to invite you to a conference: AD PENNAS DARE: The Canons Regular of St Augustine and Their Book Collections.
When? 17–19 June 2026.
Where? Wrocław and Żagań
The deadline for submitting paper proposals in Polish, English, German or Czech is 31 January 2026. Contributions on the following subjects are particularly welcome:
👉Shaping and organising monastery book collections;
👉Manuscripts of the Canons Regular of St Augustine as material objects and works of art;
👉Reproduction of texts;
👉Transmission of texts and ideas;
👉Models of piety in comparison to the practice of religious life in the monastery;
👉The intellectual horizons of the Canons Regular of St. Augustine.
👉Monastery copyists as the intellectual elite of the monastery;
👉Monastic, ethnic and cultural identity;
👉Multilingualism in manuscripts and monastery life.
👉Centre–periphery relations, i.e. between the monastery and its provosts and hospitals;
👉Pastoral ministry (cura animarum) in urban and rural settings (parishes).
