A 100 Beste Plakate és a Turning Pages mellett megnéztük a die Angewandte és a MAK együttműködésében létrejött Global Warming – what can we do as individuals? című kiállítást is. Inspirációval és új kérdésekkel tértünk haza - MOME Budapest

Vendégeink érkeztek a Kassai Műszaki Egyetem Művészeti Karáról, Andrej Haščák és Eva Jenčuráková tervezőgrafikus oktatók látogattak el hozzánk. Megmutattuk nekik az egyetemünket, bepillantás nyerhettek a nálunk folyó munkába, és egy igazán inspiráló, tartalmas beszélgetést folytattunk.
Remek alkalom volt a személyes és szakmai kapcsolatépítésre – bízunk benne, hogy hamarosan folytatódik az együttműködés!

Today we had special guests from the Department of Design, Faculty of Arts at the Technical University of Košice, graphic design educators Andrej Haščák and Eva Jenčuráková. We showed them around our university, gave them a glimpse into the work we do, and had a really inspiring and informative conversation. It was a great opportunity to build personal and professional relationship between our universities – we hope to continue our collaboration soon!

A Tervezőgrafika MA szak oktatói és hallgatói a Tudásközpont koordinálásával az eindhoven-i Dutch Design Week-en vettek részt, amely kiállításokból, stúdiólátogatásokból, workshopokból és városszerte zajló programokból áll. A fesztivál központi témája a fenntarthatóság és innováció volt. A látogatás során megtekintették a világhírű Design Academy Eindhoven idei diplomamunkáit is, amely az egyik legelismertebb kortárs designiskola, ismert kísérletező és koncepcióközpontú megközelítéséről.

The teachers and students of the Graphic Design MA program participated in the Eindhoven Dutch Design Week coordinated by the Knowledge Center. The event included exhibitions, studio visits, workshops, and city-wide events, all centered around the themes of sustainability and innovation. During their visit, they also viewed the graduation projects of this year's students from the Design Academy Eindhoven, one of the most prestigious contemporary design schools, recognized for its experimental and concept-driven approach.

✨ Fantasztikus élmény volt részt venni a Forward Festival Vienna eseményein.
Inspiráló előadások, friss perspektívák. Öröm volt ennyire széleskörű, nemzetközi tervezői közösséggel találkozni. Hallani a történeteket és látni, merre tart a kommunikáció design Európában.

Egy izgalmas szakmai látogatáson vettünk részt Ingmar Thies meghívására a bécsi Die Angewandte egyetemen.
Testközelből ismerhettük meg a Communicationsdesign szak szemléletét, a projekteket és a közösséget.
Rengeteg impulzust és ötletet hoztunk haza – köszönjük a vendéglátást és a lehetőséget! 🙌

Us by Night — design fesztivál (Antwerpen, 2025. szept. 25–27.)

Antwerpenben, ilyenkor egy folyóparti, 5000 négyzetméteres, valaha kikötő épületnek épült ipari csarnok átalakul három színpados, 3 napos design fesztivál helyszínné.

A Tervezőgrafika oktatói közösségből a BA szak kezdeményezésére, a Tervezőgrafika Tudásközpont koordinációjával 6 oktatónk (Császár Adrienn, Marcell Tamás, Nagy István, Nagy László, Pilbák Petra, Simon Péter Bence) tudott kilátogatni erre a rendkívül progresszív szakmai eseményre.

Us by Night — Design Festival (Antwerpen, 25–27. September 2025)

In Antwerpen, a 5,000-square-meter industrial hall—originally built as a port facility by the river—transforms into a three-stage, three-day design festival venue during this time.

Thanks to an initiative by the BA program and coordinated by the Centre for Graphic Design, six of our instructors from the Graphic Design teaching community (Adrienn Császár, Tamás Marcell, István Nagy, László Nagy, Petra Pilbák, Péter Bence Simon) had the opportunity to attend this highly progressive professional event.

🎤 GD×Talks – Tervezőgrafika és a „design Oscar” ellentmondás

Június 6-án tartottuk a Tervezőgrafika Tudásközpont első Kerekasztal Beszélgetését a KÉK - Contemporary Architecture Centre-ben.

Ezekre a kérdésekre kerestük a válaszokat:
Mi számít jó tervezőgrafikának?
Fontosak a díjak, vagy csak elterelik a figyelmet a valódi szakmai munkáról?
Frusztráció vagy motiváció egy Red Dot?
És vajon miért nevezik a Red Dot-ot „design Oscarnak”?

Egy izgalmas szakmai beszélgetésnek lehettünk tanúi, ahol a MOME és az MKE elismert oktatói, díjnyertes tervezőgrafikusai osztották meg tapasztalataikat és véleményüket a nemzetközi jelenlétről, díjak értékéről és a szakmai minőség mérhetőségéről.

Az üzenet:
A rangos nemzetközi szakmai díjak – mint a Red Dot – nemcsak globális értékű elismerések, hanem magas szintű szakmai lehetőségeket is nyithatnak. Számít, ha valaki pályázik, mert már a megmérettetés is olyan értékformáló tapasztalat, amivel a nemzetközi szakmai közeg elitje kerül perspektívába. Nem egyedül, csak a díjak definiálják egy tervezőgrafikus értékét, ugyanakkor egy ennyire széleskörűen elismert szakmai díj birtokosának lenni, pedig kikerülhetetlen szakmai nívó bizonyítéka.

🎤 GD×Talks – Graphic Design and the Contradictions of the “Design Oscar”

On June 6, we held the first Roundtable Discussion of the Graphic Design Knowledge Center at the KÉK - Contemporary Architecture Centre

We explored the following questions:
What qualifies as good graphic design?
Are awards important, or do they distract from real professional work?
Is a Red Dot a source of frustration or motivation?
And why is the Red Dot often referred to as the “Oscars of design”?

We witnessed an engaging professional discussion where renowned lecturers and award-winning graphic designers from MOME and MKE shared their experiences and opinions on international presence, the value of awards, and how professional quality can be measured.

The key message:
Prestigious international professional awards—such as the Red Dot—not only represent global recognition, but can also open up high-level professional opportunities. Applying for such awards matters, as the challenge itself is a value-shaping experience that offers a new perspective within the elite of the international design scene. While awards alone do not indicate a graphic designer’s professional value, owning such a widely recognized award is an undeniable proof of professional excellence.
