As the Eurovision Song Contest is approaching let's listen to the Swiss song performed by Takasa.
Takasa is a unique band, made up of six individuals who share their passion for music. Their ages range from 21-year-old Sarah Breiter to 95-year-old Emil Ramsauer, who will set a new record for being the oldest ever musician to perform on the Eurovision Song Contest stage. (www.eurovision.tv)

Swiss president Ueli Maurer has sent a letter of condolence to US President Barack Obama after Monday’s bomb attacks in downtown Boston during the city’s iconic marathon.
There were 46 Swiss reported to have entered the marathon, which attracted some 23,000 runners and more than 500,000 spectators. Of the Swiss competitors, 39 completed the race, including three in wheelchairs.
As far as the Swiss foreign ministry has been able to ascertain, no Swiss were among the dead or injured.

Switzerland contributes CHF 1.257 billion to Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Cyprus.
With this enlargement contribution Switzerland supports the reduction of economic and social disparities within the EU, thus consolidating its relations with the EU as a whole and in particular with the 12 most recent member states.
At the Annual Conference of Swiss Cooperation with Eastern Europe on 31 May 2013 in Bern, SDC and SECO will explain how the projects for the implementation of the enlargement contribution are progressing.

The Geneva-based organisation, the World Council of Churches came up with the idea of having a peace journey from Berlin (Germany) to Busan (South Korea).
Peace Train is a peace journey seeking the Korean peninsula’s peaceful reunification and transformation of the political situation between South and North Korea.
