What truly helps you unwind and escape the daily grind? Sarolta Gloviczki, an instructor at the Institute for General Theory of Special Needs Education, shares what it means to her to set out on a journey and be in nature. đ
âEver since I was a little kid, whenever I can, I grab my backpack and head out into the great outdoorsâwhether itâs the sea, the forest, a mountain, or even the Danube. When evening comes, I choose my home for the night among the millions of stars in the sky, build a fire, cook dinner, reflect, sleep, and continue the same way the next day. Thatâs what true freedom means to me.â

What is it that truly captivates us about a city: the major attractions or the hidden details? We continue our series with Dr. Andrea Perlusz, vice dean
responsible for strategic and scientific affairs and program director for the specialisation of special needs education for people with hearing impairment. đ
âI really love cultural programs and walking. Guided city walks are a wonderful combination of the two, and I enjoy them in my free time. My favorites are the buildings, the stories of the people who live there, the tiny details, the ends of alleys, and the inner courtyards. They reveal a great deal about the society in which we live. Since my teaching and research activities are also tied to inclusive communities and an inclusive society, I feel that these houses welcome me and show me their most beautiful side.
Perhaps this connection is no coincidence: after high school, I planned to study humanities, and since I wasnât accepted, I trained to become a tour guide. Although life later took me in a different direction, my love for art and cities has remained unbroken ever since.â

In this installment of our series, we focus on recharging in nature. What is it that takes us away from our daily routines while also creating real value? đż
Dr. KlĂĄra Marton, a professor at the Institute for the Methodology of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation, talks about canoeing, community, and her commitment to environmental protection. đ¶
âIn my free time, I love hiking and paddling (canoeing). Iâm a member of a volunteer-run club where, in addition to organizing recreational activities, we also emphasize environmental protection. Besides hiking and paddling, we take care of the forests and waterways. What I like best is when we go canoeing in the mountains for 3â4 days to places that canât be reached by land.â
