CONCERTO PRACTICE
with the Danube Symphony Orchestra:
Venue:
Danube Symphony Orchestra rehearsal room, Duna Zeneház
Hungary, Budapest, Kőbánya, 1105 Budapest X., Halom utca 42.

There are possible to rent as well nice venues in the City and also possible there the rehearsals. Such as: Nador Hall, Deak Ter Evangelikus Gimnazium or Festetics Palace.

This opportunity is available throughout the year.

Music:​
Let us know what you would like to practise.
If the orchestra has the piece in their library, it is free to use it.
If the orchestra hasn’t got the piece (or parts) in their library, then there will be a cost to hire it.
Or alternatively you could bring along the music with you and use it with the orchestra.

Prices and Conditions:
The minimum amount of time (in minutes):
The first 80-minute-session rehearsal = 990 Euro
Additional minutes: the next 80-minute-session rehearsal = 950 Euro
This price includes:
- 80 minutes orchestral practice time
- with a 35-member-orchestra
- with professional conductor
- video recording of your practice

For pianists there is and extra cost of tuning: 50 Euro

Further information:​
The practice time is counted per rehearsal. The orchestra will only sit down and play only for a full rehearsal (80 minutes). We offer this practice to other singers and musicians as well, in this way, the rehearsal time can be shared so you can share the costs as well.
If you’d like to have a Professor there for your practice, we can arrange tuition with Professors from the Liszt Music Academy and from Conservatories from Budapest at the same time.

If you are interested in this, please contact us and we will tell you the additional costs.
We can also help you find a good accommodation in Budapest, and provide you with all the information you need.

16th DANUBE INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS AND COMPETITION 2020

13th-23rd August 2020, Budapest ( HUNGARY)
with the Danube Symphony Orchestra (one of the professional Hungarian state orchestras)
and Andras Deak – principal conductor of DSO
Venue: Danube Symphony Orchestra's concert hall and rehearsal room
Danube Palace: Hungary, Budapest, H-1051. Zrinyi Street 5.
Music programme of the course:
Mozart: Symphony No.40 in G minor, K.550
Beethoven: Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92
Dvorak: Symphony No. 9 in E minor "From the New World"
Strauss: Die Fledermaus- Overture
Bartok: Dance suite, Romanian Dances
Fees: Active participants – 1280 €; Active participants – students €1180
Registration fee €300 (part of the whole amount) Registration deadline: 13th August 2020 ( registration fee is refundable)
About the course: During the course the active participants are working on the music programme with Professor Andras Deak - at the half time with two pianists, at the other half of the course every active participants will get 80 minutes conducting time with the Danube Symphony Orchestra.
Competition and final concert: At the end of the orchestra rehearsals the Professor and the Orchestra will decide which participants will be awarded and play on the final concert (2-5 best participants). There will be a concert at Danube Palace with a selected programme from the course repertoire.
1st.2nd.3rd. Prize: Conducting in the Final concert.
More conducting practice time: We offer more practice time possibility with the orchestra. 80 minutes/ 650 Euro / 35 member of orchestra. We can give you the possible dates and times after your inquires.
