HOW TO LEVEL UP INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS?
ESCAPE ORDINARY - IDEA EVENT - 04.05.2026.
Openness to share and accept ideas, different approaches and expertise, led our 91 (!) participants in 9 mixed teams to work seamlessly together and made them rethink existing business models. Student-led innovation and mentoring at its best, with involvement.
How can it happen?
The REDINEST project presents a design-response that recommends a flexibly format for internal idea competitions, allowing cross-subject, cross-faculty and cross-institutional involvement of participants.
The short events are based on a student-led and future-proof idea generation, enabling a deep focus on the elaboration of and and aspects of digital innovative ideas.
How it becomes student-led?
- Master students from 28DIGITAL - EIT Digital Master School and ELTE Faculty of Informatics from two courses equipped with a mindset for promoting sustainability and inclusion aspects when creating and rethinking digital innovations, and having conducted preliminary research for unique business models.
- Many of them completed the REDINEST Online Impact Labs program and not only tackled challenges in international teams from other universities, but analysed the opportunities for extended development and presented it to fellow students.
- With this unique combination of experience, they were ready to share their knowledge with bachelor students who completed Business fundamentals course at ELTE Faculty of Informatics,
- and were open to welcome bachelor students from Sapientia Hungarian University Of Transylvania [EMTE].
Ecosystem involvement
- Students learn the most when they truly feel that their contribution matters.
- Feedback from experienced business development experts, attention and suggestions bring empowerment and transferable knowledge. Barnabas Malnay and Akos Tallos
