SEK Budapest International School

At SEK Paraguay, 5th Grade students explored the fascinating process of nutrition and the body systems involved through a practical project. To understand how food is transformed and how the body absorbs essential nutrients, they built a scale model of the digestive system using recycled materials. Working collaboratively in teams, the children planned, designed and brought their models to life, fostering both creativity and teamwork.

To conclude the experience, each group gave a presentation to their classmates, enthusiastically demonstrating the knowledge they had gained throughout the activity. It was an inspiring day where science and sustainability came together, proving that we continue to learn and grow every single day.

At SEK Los Valles, music, dance and theatre came together in a very special edition of the 2026 Art Festival, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the school under the theme "A Movie Journey". Through different presentations inspired by productions such as The Lion King, Star Wars, Grease, Minions and many more, students demonstrated their talent, creativity and dedication, taking the audience through unforgettable film stories.

Each performance was full of excitement and energy, turning the stage into a space for dreaming, learning and sharing. The festival was also an opportunity to celebrate the growth of the students and say goodbye to the school year with joy together with the entire educational community. Thanks to students, teachers and families for making this experience possible, which will undoubtedly be recorded as a true movie trip.

Huge congratulations to our very own Alíz Seffer, who wrapped up her spring rhythmic gymnastics season in the best way possible! This past weekend, she and her team took 1st Place at the National Team Competition (The Ágnes Keleti Memorial Cup).

This victory crowns an absolutely flawless spring season for Alíz. Take a look at her incredible achievements this term:

Our Summer Fest was the perfect celebration of our amazing community. We were treated to a moving theater performance by Ms. Fanni’s talented actors, beautiful music from Mr. Gábor’s choir, and live bands that kept the energy high all day! 🎶✨

With popcorn and slushies in hand, the students also enjoyed mini-golf and shared plenty of laughs with our clown friend. 🏌️‍♂️🤡

Our Summer Festival was filled with summer vibes and wonderful performances from our P1 and P2 classes. The children proudly showcased their growing language skills by performing in English, Spanish, and Hungarian, delighting families with their confidence and enthusiasm.

The P1 class presented the beloved Hungarian folk tale, A Nyulacska Harangocskája. Through songs and acting, the children brought to life the story of a little rabbit who loses its bell when it becomes stuck high in a tree. Our little rabbit sought help from a variety of our P1 animals and objects, everyone eventually worked together to return the bell. The children beautifully shared this heartwarming tale of perseverance and cooperation.

The P2 class celebrated the joys of summer with a cheerful performance all about all things “Summer” from singing watermelons through to over-sized icecreams. They ended their show with lively summer dancing and invited the audience to join in the fun, creating a wonderful atmosphere of laughter and togetherness.

We are so proud of all of our children for their hard work and for sharing their talents and language skills they have developed throughout the year. Thank you to all the families who joined us in making this year's Summer Festival such a memorable celebration.

Is there a better way to kick off the summer than with a FIFA-worthy SEK match?

We are thrilled to share that today our very own football superstars inaugurated SEK Budapest’s football pitch!

The matches were filled with laughter, spectacular goals, and unforgettable moments that kept the entire audience laser-focused on the game. For a few hours, the whole SEK family cheered together from the bleachers.

Class 6.B stepped into a world of myth and imagination at the Ladó Gallery! 🧜‍♀️✨

Guided by exhibiting artist Katalin Szeivolt, our students explored the fascinating worlds of shamans, Buddha, and sirens in an exclusive creative workshop. From channeling their inner "shamans" to taking home a custom coloring gift, it was a day filled with art, history, and inspiration. 🎨🖌️

Our students recently visited the Vasarely exhibition, where their eyes didn't just observe—they seemed to "move" along with the mesmerizing play of shapes and illusions! 🌀✨

Vasarely’s world proved to be both deceptive and fascinating, showing the class how art can be incredibly playful yet deeply thought-provoking. It was an unforgettable journey into the world of op-art!
