Hungary has a long and deeply human history of fighting for freedom. We endured the Mongol invasion, lived through centuries of Ottoman rule, rose up in 1848, stood with courage in 1956, and reclaimed democracy in 1989. Each time, through hardship and hope, we showed the same truth: that Hungarians long to be free—and to belong to Europe not only by geography, but by shared values, dignity, and belief in a better future. And that story is still alive today.

Just two days ago, with the strength and spirit of our young people, we witnessed something extraordinary—a peaceful and inspiring renewal. Against all odds, we achieved a crucial two-thirds majority, opening the door for us to finally follow our own path, and to honor the dreams of those who came before us. There is a quiet, powerful hope in the air. We are ready to stand as a committed and trusted partner in Europe, grounded in democracy, unity, and mutual respect.

At the Budapest Film Academy, we feel this moment deeply. We are proud to stand behind this change — and even more proud of the generation helping to shape it.

Kedves Jenő!

Ma ismét Budapestre kellett jönnöm visszavinni pár dolgot a rental-ba és egész úton csak az elmúlt öt nap járt a fejemben. Gombóc volt a torkomban, ha felidéztem a pillanatokat. Annyira sok élmény ért az elmúlt öt napban. Furcsa most, hogy vége. Fantasztikus emberek között lehettem, ami örök emlék marad. Ezt nem tudom igazán még felfogni sem.

Látni ahogy dolgozol, ahogy Tamás dolgozik ez olyan ami felbecsülhetetlen! Tudom, hogy még van dolgom és nagyon várom is! Szeretnék mindent ami még hátra van a legjobb tudásom szerint megcsinálni. Amennyire csak lehetséges látni minden folyamatot, ami ezután következik, ezeket megörökíteni és a végén ezekből valami kész egészet alkotni.

Bízom benne, hogy ez után is lehet még az életem során hasonló dolgokban részem,mert ugyan talán későn így negyven felett, de száz százalékosan kiderült számomra, hogy ez az amit igazán jó érzés csinálni, amit szeretnék csinálni, bármennyire is hosszú és nehéz napok voltak, csak jókat tudok mondani az elmúlt hétről!

Őszintén várom a folytatást és addig is jó egészséget kívánok Neked!

Dear Jenő,

Today I had to come back to Budapest again to return a few things to the rental company, and the whole way my mind was filled with memories of the past five days. I had a lump in my throat whenever I recalled those moments. I experienced so many things during these five days. It feels strange now that it’s over. I had the chance to be among fantastic people, which will remain a lifelong memory. I don’t think I can even fully grasp it yet.

Watching you work, and watching Tamás work, is something truly invaluable! I know there is still work ahead, and I’m really looking forward to it. I want to do everything that remains to the best of my ability. As much as possible, I would like to see every stage of the process that comes next, document them, and in the end create something complete out of all of it.

I hope that later in my life I will have the chance to experience similar things again. Even if perhaps I discovered it a bit late, now that I’m over forty, it has become one hundred percent clear to me that this is what truly feels good to do — this is what I want to do. No matter how long and difficult the days were, I can only say good things about the past week.

I sincerely look forward to continuing, and until then I wish you good health!
