I am getting busy preparing for the 'live' webinar this weekend.
Not too busy however, to spend sometime sharing the Christmas decorations over here in Budapest. They really are quite spectacular.

I do hope, whatever, you are doing that you find some time for the special ones in your life and to try and reconnect with them at 'eye level' on mutual terms and in my case, being on the same page with my daughter, is not so hard anymore, she is nearly as tall as me !!

just came across these pics from my time in China.

I remember we were at a British themed tea shop and we were laughing at the Asian perspective of typical British culture.
The reason I am making this post is to reflect on ‘perspective’. How we view ourselves versus what others think of us ( usually completely different by the way) … and how we can start with ourselves and create a better version of ourself basically on a ‘daily’ basis. It all starts with ‘awareness’ for the need to improve and the realisation of what it is costing us by not making those changes.

The next step is attitude. This is an ongoing challenge and is it is so easy to slip back into the the ‘old’version of ourselves.
I am fortunate enough to be made aware of these choices and stages regularly through the lens of my daughter, Olivia.

4. The Loan Shark How I unwittingly became a loan shark and discovered that going against both my nature and instinct has a price.

This weekend's stay at a ‘wellness hotel’ was my first real opportunity for some quality 1-2-1 time since arriving in Budapest several weeks ago. Based on her existing school plans, trips etc, it was quite a challenge just to ‘book’ some free time with my not so ‘little’ girl.
It was worth the wait. When we are together and find our ‘natural rhythm’ and all the concerns of her losing ‘touch’ with me after such a long time away from each other soon fade away. Within minutes of arrival, we were going on all of the crazy waterslides, some of which were far from a ‘relaxing slide’ in the water.
On several occasions we truly pushed ourselves out of our ‘comfort zones’ and on one occasion, as I was standing on the edge of a 25m ledge, Olivia challenged me to ‘dive’… and it was at this point, and for no other reason, I just did it! The feeling of just ‘doing’ rather than considering all of the implications release a sense of being ‘alive’ and living in the moment.
That evening over dinner, Olivia, matter of factly, explained that ‘doing’ is the secret to progress and procrastination, whether reading the same books, watching the same films or basically just doing the same things over and over again is not helping us or enabling us to develop. I just sat there in wonderment thinking that despite the time apart, she has really developed into an insightful young person and had already established this philosophy in her mind. I was also reminded that she is well and truly on her path and had already understood something many of us, me included, have spent years overcoming. It seems that my daughter is also my teacher.
Moments like these are magical and I am grateful I can experience and share them with you.

As indicated in my previous video, I am starting to get back to creating more content, as always, around the theme of life direction and finding our true purpose.

With this in mind, I have created a new video series 'The Budapest Chronicles', which aims to reflect on my arrival in the city over 15 years ago and the amazing life experiences I had there during that period, in some cases life changing.

I have created this as a form of reflection and sharing of lessons learned and the rite of passage that we all (need)to take in order to evolve and get closer to our true nature.

Hello Friends !

I thought I would send a post to share the news that after nearly 7 years away (5 in China and 2 spent in Lockdown with my parents in the UK !) I arrived back in Budapest a couple of weeks ago.

It has been a strange, incredible period that none of us could ever have foreseen nor imagined…and yet despite this restricted period and a painful period of separation from my ‘not so little’ daughter, Olivia we are reunited once again, not only as father and daughter but as co authors of a children’s book series ‘The Adventures of Gooey the Slime’ , created and published during the pandemic which has served as a form of bonding and ongoing connection that endured over this period.

I hope you and your families, loved ones and those you care about are all well and look forward to getting re acquainted once again in the coming weeks !
