What is the ELAC B L104 ?
The background of the ELAC hardware and software:
There are 2 different ELAC Hardwares:
>ELAC B, standard installed on A320 Family CEO and NEO aircraft equipped with mechanical rudder (called meca-rudder).
>ELAC E, standard for A320 E-rudder and XLR aircraft also compatible with so-called mecarudder aircraft. From May 2022, Airbus have started to deliver meca-rudder Aircraft with ELAC E HW.

The Alignment may be automatic on B737.
Did you know that IRS on 737 MAX can fully realign itself in flight? This feature is called Align In Motion. ADIRUs equipped with hybrid GPS-Internal can fully recover from loss of alignment in flight due to power interruption or inadvertent shut down. When power is restored the IRS begins recovery process automatically.
- Attitude information is displayed after 30 seconds of straight and level flight
- Full navigation capability is restored after 10 to 30 minutes
