How do schools, companies and innovation centres work together to prepare students for the future? 🌍💡
Within one of our policy experimentation project we are having a study visit in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, which provided participants with the opportunity to see successful examples of cooperation between education and industry in practice.
From a visit to Adria Mobil, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of caravans and motorhomes, to exploring the learning environment and workshops Šolski center Novo mesto, participants gained valuable insights into how practical learning and work-based education can be effectively connected.
The day continued at Rudolfovo, the discussions focused on innovation, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, and the importance of collaboration between schools and companies in developing future skills.
What stood out throughout the day was a shared commitment to creating learning experiences that are relevant, practical and closely linked to the realities of the labour market. 🤝📚

We concluded the BIO-VET Bio-mapping Study Visits in Africa with visits to the Federal College of Forestry and the Federal College of Agriculture in Ibadan, Nigeria.
From practical training facilities and demonstration sites to discussions with educators, students, and sector experts, the day provided valuable insights into how innovation and hands-on learning are shaping the future of agricultural education.
Over the past weeks, our journey across Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria has allowed us to identify inspiring practices, understand local realities, and gather the knowledge needed to strengthen vocational education and training across the BIO-VET partnership.
While the study visits have come to an end, the real work is only beginning. The insights, experiences, and connections built throughout this journey will now feed into the development of innovative and future-oriented training programmes within BIO-VET.
A heartfelt thank you to the National Board for Technical Education - NBTE, Greysoft-GreyHobb, the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem) and all our partners for making this study visit possible!

Great discussions on startups, innovation, and the role that Central and Eastern Europe can play in shaping the future of entrepreneurship with Arek Kwoska, CEO of Rebels Valley, during his visit to our office in Budapest.
The past few days have brought some inspiring conversations, and this discussion was another reminder of the strength and potential of the CEE innovation community. We also spoke about the opportunities for closer cooperation between the Hungarian and Polish innovation ecosystems.
Thank you, Arek Kwoska, for the engaging discussion. We look forward to seeing you again at MeOut on 25-26 November.

This week, the BIO-VET project continues its fact-finding mission in Nigeria 🇳🇬, together with a delegation of European agricultural and vocational education experts supported by the European Commission.
Our first day in Lagos focused on understanding how vocational education can better support employability, agriculture, fisheries and the emerging bioeconomy. We started the mission with exchanges involving local TVET stakeholders and continued our institutional dialogue with the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, gaining valuable insights into training needs, sector priorities and opportunities for future cooperation.
At the same time, part of our delegation joined the National TVET Conference 2026 in Lagos, where Nigerian and international partners are discussing how TVET can become a stronger pathway to employment, inclusion and green growth.
This parallel programme reflects exactly what BIO-VET is about: connecting education providers, sector experts, development partners and policy actors to build practical, future-oriented skills pathways.
The mission is already helping us identify concrete synergies between vocational education, agriculture, fisheries and the bioeconomy, and how BIO-VET can contribute to strengthening skills development and employability in Nigeria.
In cooperation with National Board for Technical Education - NBTE and Greysoft-GreyHobb and Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem, a heartfelt thank you for our partners who made this study visit happen!
