Dear Students and Members!

Leo Eisner, President of the Czech company Seismik and Honorary Lecturer of the SEG, will visit the Student Chapter on 22.03.at 12 noon and will hold a presentation. The title of the lecture is " Mapping pore pressure with beach balls". This is an excellent opportunity to learn about an interesting research and to practice the terminology of geoscience.

Two weeks has already passed from the end of our field camp. What a week it was! 🎉 We had a great time and learned a lot, we hope all participants did too. We take this opportunity to thank all those who helped with the creation of our field camp. 😊
👉 First of all, to SEG and the SEG FOUNDATION for providing the financial background for the field camp. 💸
👉 We are also grateful to the Department of Geophysics and Space Sciences of the Eötvös Loránd University for the support and for providing all the necessary equipment for the terrestrial measurements. Also, to Ferenc Visnovitz and Márk Szijártó, colleagues of the department, for participating in the field camp as lecturer and group leader. 🏫
👉 In addition, a huge thank you to Geomega Ltd and its employees, Tamás Tóth, Géza Worum, and Zoltán Hámori, without whom not only the water measurements would not have been carried out, but also the entire field camp itself.
👉 Special thanks to András Sörös and Rafael Zuban for introducing the students to drone measurements, and to the municipality of Mályi for supporting our project. 📷 🗺
👉 Thanks also go to Júlia Török for showing us around the Biological and Paleontological Exhibition of the Eötvös Loránd University Natural History Museum, Anita Erőss Erőss for taking us to see the tunnel system under the Gellért Bath, and Tamás Lukács from supervisory Authority of Regulatory Affairs, for guiding us through the Loránd Eötvös Memorial Collection. 🖼⚒
👉Last but not least we want to say thank you to all the amazing participants that have taken part in the IV. Eötvös Field Camp without whom there would have been no field camp and made this experience even more special. 💥🙏🤗
