Through the **Erasmus+ Job Shadowing Programme**, one of our teachers spent five inspiring days at **Staffelsee Gymnasium** in Germany, exploring innovative teaching methods, digital learning, inclusive classrooms, sustainability, and student centred education.

But this experience wasn't simply about visiting another school.

It was about bringing back new ideas, fresh perspectives, and practical approaches that can create a better learning experience for every student at AIC.

Because the best schools are built by teachers who continue to grow, collaborate internationally, and learn from the world's leading educational practices.

This journey resulted in **10 valuable lessons** that will continue to inspire our classrooms.

🏅 A Gold Medal is never just a medal.

It is the result of countless hours of curiosity, discipline, perseverance, and the courage to go beyond the classroom.

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate Abira Singh Dhaliwal, who earned a Gold Award in the UKBC Intermediate Biology Olympiad 2026, placing among the world's top 5% of participants.

Congratulations, Abira!

This achievement belongs not only to one outstanding student, but also to every teacher, mentor, and family member who believed in the power of learning, growth, and excellence.

At Avicenna International College, we believe that education should prepare students for much more than examinations.

It should inspire them to ask bigger questions, solve real problems, compete internationally, and become confident leaders of the future.

That belief is now taking shape through AIC Pioneers.

A long term initiative dedicated to discovering, mentoring, and empowering students through international Olympiads, competitions, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.

This Gold Award is not our destination.

Spoleto, Italy. March 2026.
One week.
Four school campuses.
Dozens of classroom observations.
Professional discussions with school leaders.
New international connections.

Earlier this year, Steve Szabó, Principal and Biology teacher at Avicenna International College, took part in an Erasmus+ mobility program hosted by IIS Leonardo Sansi Volta in the beautiful city of Spoleto, Italy.

Throughout the week, he visited classrooms across different academic disciplines, exchanged ideas with educators from several European countries, explored different approaches to school leadership, and took part in meetings with local institutions, including the Spoleto City Council.

Beyond the scheduled program, the experience became an opportunity to build new professional relationships, compare educational systems, and discover ideas that can inspire future collaboration across Europe.

Every school has something to teach.
Every city offers a different perspective.

And every international experience expands the way we think about education.
This journey was another step in strengthening our international network and bringing new experiences back to our learning community in Budapest.

Over the past year, Avicenna International College has been undertaking one of the most comprehensive institutional transformation initiatives in its history, rethinking how a modern educational institution should learn, communicate, innovate, and prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

Today, we are proud to share another important milestone in that journey.
We are contributing to the strategic transformation of FEDE, one of Europe's longest-established international education federations with more than 60 years of history.

This collaboration is not simply about institutional identity or digital transformation.
It is about helping educational institutions become stronger, more human, more innovative, and better prepared for future generations.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Ms. Claude Vivier Le Got, President of FEDE, together with the members of the FEDE Board of Directors, for their trust, openness, and long-term vision. Transforming long-established institutions requires courageous leadership and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.
