Budapest Forum 2026 in pictures 📸

On October 1, policymakers, researchers, experts and civil society representatives came together once again at the Budapest Forum to discuss some of the most pressing challenges facing democracies and the possibilities for democratic renewal.

Under the theme Building Sustainable Democracies, this year’s conference explored democratic resilience, the restoration of the rule of law, Europe’s political future, the role of cities, and the challenges of rebuilding democracy after prolonged illiberal rule.

The conference was organised by the Municipality of Budapest, Political Capital Institute and the CEU Democracy Institute.

Október 1-jén ismét politikai döntéshozók, kutatók, szakértők és civil szereplők találkoztak a Budapest Forumon, hogy a demokráciák előtt álló legfontosabb kihívásokról és a demokratikus megújulás lehetőségeiről beszélgessenek.

Az idei konferencia középpontjában többek között a demokratikus intézmények ellenálló képessége, a jogállamiság helyreállítása, Európa politikai jövője, a városok szerepe, valamint az illiberális kormányzás utáni demokratikus megújulás kérdései álltak.

A konferenciát Budapest Főváros Önkormányzata, a Political Capital és a CEU Democracy Institute szervezte.
