What does an accent coaching session look like compared to an English lesson?

Lessons vary depending on the person, but we usually work on specific sounds and how to connect words together and sound natural. Plus, we also work on rhythm and intonation, which is the "melody" of the language.

I've been absolutely delighted at my own student's delight once they learn how to pronounce sounds correctly in a General American accent. So many of my clients learned English at school, but there was rarely a focus on pronunciation. You either got it, or you didn't. Leading people through the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants has been so eye opening for them. It's such a joyful experience for us both. I love seeing people feel more comfortable and free in their voice. It's one of those in-session experiences that lets me know I'm on the right track.
