🍺⛏️ Holnap este ilyenkor már javában zajlik a One Beer Feszt, ahol mi is ott leszünk! 🎉

Budapest egyik legtitokzatosabb helyszíne, a kőbányai Lechner-pincék különleges katakombarendszere egy estére megnyitja kapuit a látogatók előtt. 🌍✨ A boltíves járatok és a történelmi pincehálózat különleges atmoszférát teremtenek, ahol a sörkultúra, a közösségi élmény és a kreativitás találkozik. 🍻🕯️

A One Beer Feszt nem csupán egy sörfesztivál: a rendezvényen a hazai craft beer kultúra legizgalmasabb szereplői mutatkoznak be, különleges és limitált tételekkel. 🎨🍺

🙌 Találkozzunk a katakombák mélyén, beszélgessünk, kapcsolódjunk és kóstoljátok bele a BGE Söre izgalmas ízeibe! 🤝

🇬🇧🎓✨ Thank you to everyone who joined today’s information session about the University of Stirling double degree programme! 🌍🤝

It was great to see so many interested students, and we would like to thank everyone who attended and asked insightful questions. 🙏💡 We especially appreciated the questions about student life and sports at the University of Stirling. 🏀🏆

Today, we continue our series of student testimonials with the third part of Olivér Hadobás’s report. 📖✨ As a participant in the joint programme of the University of Stirling and BGE, he gained valuable international experience, developed professionally and personally, and made the most of the opportunities offered by studying abroad. 🌍🎓🚀

💬💬💬
"Beyond academics, sports also played an important role during my time in Stirling. As a competitive handball player, I was delighted to have the opportunity to continue my sporting career while studying abroad. I joined the university's handball team, quickly integrated into the group, and soon became one of its active and leading members. The University of Stirling's sports facilities are among the best in the country - modern, well-equipped, and open to all students. The university strongly promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, and the sports culture on campus is truly remarkable.
With our team, we competed in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league, which is one of the most prestigious university sports competitions in the UK. We achieved an outstanding result by finishing third at the BUCS Trophy final held in Nottingham. This was an unforgettable experience for me - not only as a sporting success but also as a team-building and personal achievement. Through the matches and tournaments, I had the chance to visit several Scottish and English cities, gain new experiences, and make lasting friendships with both local and international students.
Besides studying and sports, I also had the opportunity to explore Scotland's culture and traditions. I visited numerous landmarks and cities, including Edinburgh and Glasgow, and discovered the country's unique landscapes and history. The local people were exceptionally friendly, open, and helpful, which made it much easier to adapt and feel at home.
Looking back, I can confidently say that my time at the University of Stirling has been one of the most important and transformative experiences of my life. The academic challenges, the sporting achievements, the new friendships, and the cultural discoveries all contributed to my personal and professional growth. The Double Degree programme gave me much more than an additional diploma - it provided knowledge, self-confidence, international perspective, and lifelong memories.
I am deeply grateful to both BGE and the University of Stirling for giving me this invaluable opportunity. I believe that I represented my home institution with dedication and excellence, and that the experience I gained abroad will continue to shape my academic and professional path for many years to come. The time I spent in Scotland will always remain a defining chapter of my life, one that strengthened my commitment to continuous learning, international collaboration, and personal development."

❓ If you are not yet sure what a double degree programme can offer you, read the middle part of Olivér Hadobás’s three-part testimonial. As a participant in the joint programme of the University of Stirling and BGE, he gained valuable international experience and had the opportunity to study in an inspiring academic environment. 📚✨

💬💬💬
"One of the aspects that impressed me the most was the university's student-centred approach. Lecturers and staff members were always approachable and willing to help, whether it concerned academic matters or personal issues. It was clear that students' opinions and needs were genuinely valued. The philosophy of the institution – that students are not just learners but active participants in the educational process – was very motivating and created a positive, collaborative learning atmosphere.
The academic programme itself was both demanding and highly inspiring. The introductory course, Flying Start and Leadership, led by Carol Marshall, set the tone for the entire semester, emphasising critical thinking, active participation, and practical application. After that, I completed three core modules: Startup and Entrepreneurship, Family Businesses, and European Business Environment. Each course focused on different aspects of business management and contributed to developing a well-rounded professional perspective.
The Startup course encouraged entrepreneurial thinking and innovation. As part of the course, we were required to develop a business plan for a start-up idea and present it to the professors. I particularly enjoyed this project because it allowed me to further develop and refine a business concept I had previously created in Hungary while receiving professional feedback from experienced academics. The Family Businesses module, taught by Dr Stephen Knox, focused on the operation and management challenges of family enterprises, especially succession and generational change. He also became my dissertation supervisor, which was a great privilege. Under his guidance, I gained valuable insight into the complexities of family-run firms.
The third course, taught by Genoah Joseph, provided a broad understanding of the European Union's economic, legal, and political structures. Although this module was more theoretical, it offered essential background knowledge for comprehending international business dynamics.
All courses required continuous preparation, teamwork, and active participation. We frequently worked on group projects, case studies, and oral presentations, which helped me improve my communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Studying in English also strengthened my confidence in professional communication. The exams and assignments required significant effort, but the results proved that hard work paid off: I received Distinction grades in two subjects, and in the third one I was very close to that level. I am particularly proud of these achievements, as they demonstrate not only my academic dedication but also that I successfully represented Budapest Business School at an international level."

🇬🇧🎓✈️ If you are not yet sure what a double degree programme can offer you, read the first part of Olivér Hadobás’s testimonial. 📖✨ As a participant in the joint programme of the University of Stirling and BGE, he gained valuable international experience and had the opportunity to study in an inspiring academic environment. 🌍📚💡

💬💬💬

"When I began my studies at BGE, I had clear goals from
the very start: wanted to make the most of the international opportunities offered by the university and gain meaningful study experience abroad that would shape my professional development in the long run. I had heard many positive things about the Double Degree Programme jointly organized with the University of Stirling, so / was determined to become one of the selected students who could participate in it. Throughout my studies, I worked hard to achieve excellent academic results and to be an active, engaged member of the university community.

The period before departure was filled with excitement and anticipation. Scotland had always been an attractive destination for me, known for its high-quality education, breathtaking natural beauty, and welcoming, friendly people. Upon arriving in Stirling, my first impression was that the city perfectly combines tranquility with vibrancy, tradition with modernity. Stirling is a charming historic town located in the heart of Scotland, offering the ideal balance between a calm, safe environment and the lively atmosphere of a university town. Its location - halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow - makes it easy to access both major cities while still retaining the comfort of a smaller, close-knit community.

The University of Stirling is truly the centre of the town, not only geographically but also socially and economically. The entire community revolves around the university, and the student presence gives the town a youthful and inspiring atmosphere. The campus itself is situated in an exceptionally beautiful natural setting, surrounded by hills, lakes, and vast green spaces. Each day it was a pleasure to arrive on campus - the clean air, the harmony of nature and modern architecture, and the peaceful yet vibrant environment made the university experience truly special.

The infrastructure of the University of Stirling is of an outstanding standard. The teaching facilities are modern and well-equipped, the classrooms are fitted with up-to-date technology, and the library is spacious and excellently organized, providing every resource needed for learning and research. There are several cafés, restaurants, and shops within the campus, making it almost self-sufficient - a small, welcoming city in itself, designed entirely for the convenience and well-being of students."
